I just got a new dog and I named her after myself. Everyone asks why and my parents are mad at me. Well I wanted to, so what?

No I dont think thats strange its your dog you can name her whatever you want too so I dont see why anyone would be mad at you for it. But everytime someone calls for you your dog is going to come running too lol.

Quite a few dog breeders name their dogs after themselves. Usually their name is included in their kennel name; therefore, when they put the kennel name in the dog's name, it is being, indirectly, named after them. For instance, some of the dogs in my dog's pedigree have the name Reich's as their first name. The kennel owner that bred them was, obviously, named Reich.

It is a little strange. But no more strange then parents naming their kids their names.
