I want another show dog for 4-h...but maining its for my other dog..she loves hanging out with the neibors's dogs but gets lonley when shes inside and cant see them? I need help and fast!....I already know the kind of dog i want a shelti.

make sure to say the antitheses. Like when you are trying to stay out an extra hour past your curfew you say something like this..... I know my curfew is at this time but i really want to stay out this once. If you let me out then i will help you out and clean my room. But for you you would say something like i know we already have a dog but i think she is getting lonely. She keeps hanging out with my neighbor. Maybe if we had another dog then she would not be so lonely. Then you can conclude with If i get another dog then i will make sure that i take great care of it and that it will have a great life... Hope this works

You don't talk your parents into things. You discuss it with them and respect their authority and decisions.
If you want another dog you may just have to wait until you finish college and are supporting yourself. Meanwhile, the dog you have will be fine.

lol i dont think there is a really good way of trying to talk your parents into letting you get another dog lol.. trust me when i was younger, i tried everything in the book.. its not that they dont want one its just that .. are you gonna take care of it? or are they? are you gonna pay for it ? or are they?? trust me you really don't need another dog.. you're dog is fine.. he doesnt need a friend.. he has you doesnt he? =] goodluck either way!

do you take good care of your other dog, if so point this out and it shouldn't be a problem. be sure and check out the temperament of the shelti, they are known to be problem dogs

What i did was i made a presentation like a powerpoint for them and made a packet for them and showed them how i would be responsible

emphasize to mom & dad thtat youll take care of it ie, cleaning ,training , feeding , vets
