You may not like this answer because it is quite a commitment but it has always worked with the many puppies I have raised. Simply take them outside every 30 minutes or so, wait until they do their "business", praise, and IMMEDIATELY return them back inside. Before long, they associate outdoors with going to the bathroom and prefer it to indoors. If they have an indoor accident, make no reaction, take them out, and never let them see you clean up after them. Until you became their new "mom", they were used to having mom constantly cleaning up after them, if they see you continue that trend, they will assume it will always be done and never feel the need to establish a new, more independent habit of going outdoors. Always try to remove any residual scent from an indoor accident to avoid a repeat.
Again, every 30 minutes, do the deed, immediately back in the house. Usually results quickly if you are consistent. Consistency is the key. Puppies don't care where they go, that part is up to you. Spanking and rubbing the nose in it is also pointless and cruel, they have no clue or memory why they are being punished and it is counterproductive to the objective. This is not Rocket Science! Don't stress, just stick with it and it'll happen!

Crating your puppy when you can't be watching him every moment is the easiest, safest and most humane way to train your new puppy.
Despite the people who continue the outcry against crating, dogs traditionally crave this type of spot. Denning is a natural instinct in canines, and will be a welcome respite for the dog when the house is noisy and overcome.
Neve use your crate as punishment or a time-out spot. The crate should be the dog's own private spot. It must be large enough for the dog to comfortably stand, turn around and lie down again -- no larger than that.
Beyond that, consistency is key. When the puppy wakes up, take him out. After he eats, take him out. Right before bed, take him out.
Always take the dog to the same spot, perhaps an out of the way portion of your yard. Praise your dog when he does his business, but in a low key, non-effusive way. A kind word and a pat on the head does more than excited squealing and jumping up and down -- which will only result in a pup wil performance anxiety. :)

HERES A VERY GOOD METHOD: make an area in the backyard just for the dog the area should be against the house and you border the area with rail-road ties about 2ft apart or bricks or what ever and then fill in the area with small pebbles so that way thats the dogs area and then the back-yard is clean of hockey! So then when you get that ready that can be the doggys "walky poo" thats what you can say whens its time to go to the bathroom! an eventully you can just open the door and say"walky poo" Good luck!!!!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMS5R
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I have this same problem. I have a 7 week old chocolate lab that I am currently house training and the method I use is everytime he wakes up I immediatly put him outside. Sometimes he does have an accident but I just tell him firmly "No" and tap his nose, not hard but hard enough for him to know thats bad, and then put him outside for a little while.

You didn't mention how old your puppy was.
Your puppy needs to be on a schedule.
He needs to go out as soon as he wakes up in the morning, walking him should help. If he's only a few months old he needs to go several times during the day and very important he needs to go one last time before he goes to sleep.

nicely you're no longer meant to place her out. you ought to be TAKING her out. How is she meant to understand what you like her to do exterior? She isn't psychic. you ought to TAKE her out each and every a million/2 hour or hour, stay together with her until eventually she DOES go, then as we talk compliment her and supply a small manage and use a command observe. i take advantage of "weewee". Then at last they learn that in case you open the door and say the observe, you relatively choose them to circulate to the ytoilet. Use the comparable observe for wee and champagne. each and every time I take in a foster or rescue canines, i could have them knowledgeable in a count of days utilising this gadget. Your puppy coaching e book ought to have informed you approximately this. despite you do in no way tell it off and positively in no way rub her nostril in it. If she wees in the domicile it is your fault for no longer assisting her to understand what you like from her. sturdy success, besides the actuality that there is not any longer possibly any success in contact, in effortless terms slightly time and attempt yet don't be shocked if it in effortless terms takes 2 or 3 days in the previous she is familiar with . canines are no longer born with in-built obedience and understand-how, they won't be able to study your concepts and that they are no longer born talking your language and extra effective than you will understand what her bark ability. in case you could manage her like a much off places guy or woman without understand-how of your language so as which you ought to coach them specific words and teach them what you like, you would be waiting to coach her something with compliment and reward. BTW throw away the mat and forget approximately approximately people like Sarah. i will in effortless terms desire she in no way gets a puppy on condition that she is so prepared on abusing animals and expects them to "parent it out" by utilising themselves. I reckon any domestic dog she gets would be extra smart than she is that if it magically meant to a approach or the different artwork out for itself with none help from her. stupid mare.
