My friend from youth group found this abandoned black lab puppy and i might be able to keep it but i dont know a good name. i'm thinking of miley but i dont now if thats too good.

i want 2 get a dog 4 my mum, she has wanted a Chihuahua for many years, but every1 say they r pron 2 hip problms and other problams, and i want 2 get her a dog tht will have no problams.... what other small dogs r there??

Did you know that over half of the world's fur industry is produced by China. They are killing dogs and cats every year for their fur. My 1 year old chihuahua will carry one of my other dogs leashes onto her bed, then collect our socks, and other things she can find in the house and put them in a pile next to her where she sleeps, but sometimes she will just walk around the house with the leash in her mouth, not wanting to go out. I wish I knew why! Does anyone know why dogs do this?

My family adopted a chihuahua today from a local animal shelter. Her name annoys the HELL out of me and I desperately want to change it, but we're all having trouble thinking of something.

Her name is Alesai..or something of that nature. It's pronounced ALICE-A and they call her Zay Zay for short. It absolutely needs to be changed. I know it has to at least sound like her original name for her to recognize it, and I told my mother to just name her Allyson and call her Ally or Allie for short. But she doesn't like that. I also told her to totally disregard the Zay Zay because it gets on my nerves. But I don't want to make it hard on the dog who is five years old. Any tips or name suggestions?

My golden retriever detects moles moving around under the snow so she tramps down the snow around them and then sticks her head down and grabs them and quickly eats them before she can be stopped.

She gets worm medicine every other month.

Livvie, 5 years, alpha female of our home (tries) is starting to growl at my infant daughter upwards of 5x a day. Thank God the baby is learning to listen to her, but I have to supervise them every minute. Otto, our 4 year male Springer is WONDERFUl with her- lets her climb on him, she feeds him cheerios, and they even fall asleep on each other. Help! If Livvie were to hurt my baby, Id never forgive myself.

I have a sheltie named Sasha and she is really smart. She loves to look out the sliding glass doors in our apartment, but she barks at everything, like leaves blowing by in the wind, cars that drive by and pretty much anything else that moves. I don't mind that she barks, but she doesn't stop. I know I'll never train the "guard dog" mentality out of her, and I'm glad she lets us know when someone is out there. It's just that she will continue barking until you get up in her face. We have tried everything. We distract her with water bottles and we have tried the spray bottle. But short of beating her, or trying a shock collar, does anyone know of anything to get her to stop barking once we know that there is someone out there? Multiple suggestions and personal experience are more than welcome!
