Should there be a foul odor?

They can have a discharge for up to 2 weeks, my Rott just had pups 3 weeks ago and she finally has stopped. And yes it can have a odor, think about it its just like when a woman has a baby. The dog ought to keep herself clean though. If it lasts longer than 2 weeks have her checked by your vet. Just have patience it'll stop.

It's normal for her to bleed for a few days but there should not be a foul odor. She may have retained some placenta. I'd take her to the vet and have her checked. A retained placenta could kill her.

For just a short while and no there should not be an odor...you should take her to the vet to check her out and be sure all has left her body after giving birth.
