I need to clip the puppy's nails, and I don't want the nail to splinter or split. I was wondering if it would be better to use small guillotine clipper, or a large toenail clipper? Serious answers only please!

So, I bought them ostrich bones and they worked for a long time but I was looking for something else. They are two big dogs so the itty bitty bones won't work. Anybody have ideas

I have a puppy that I didn't really want but he was in a bad situation so we took him. I purchased my Miniature Schnauzer from my brother. He was neglected and in need of love and care. I know that Schnauzers are naturally hyper but when I leave the house he stands at the door and howls and whines. When I am in the house he follows me around. If I shut the bathroom door he piddles out side the door. If I sit down he jumps in my lap and wont stay down no matter how many times I put him on the floor. I don't mind him following me around the house but when I turn around to walk another direction he doesn't move and if it is dark I can't see him and he gets stepped on a lot. I don't want him to get hurt. How do I reassure him that I am not going to give him away and show him he doesn't have to follow me everywhere?

My two year old papillon is extremely sensitive. He hates riding in the car. I have to hold him on my lap with a towel because he throws up. He gets easily spooked by anything out of place like a stack of books on a chair. I'm retired and home with him most of the time but when I have to go out, he sits on the back of the chair watching out of the window for me and he is always there when I return.

I'm wondering if it would help him if I got another small dog for him to play with. I'm concerned that he would resent a new comer though. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 12 year old GSD male, unfortunatly he regulary dribbles wee, especially when he is in a deep sleep.
I don't want to take him to the vets unless I really have to, as I am worried they will say he has to be put to sleep.
He is a very fit and healthy dog, he eats and drinks well, and still loves going for a walk.

I go running all the time, my wife and I are set to get a Boston Terrier and I've started wondering whether the little guy can handle a 10 to 15 mile run. I'd feel bad going on a run without him, but I don't want to hurt him either. Any idea where I can find this out if you don't know? Am I worried about nothing here and totally underestimating the breeds ability?

I have been curious about this for a long time. Years ago my daughter bought a purebred AKC registered Pomeranian from a reputable breeder. Even though we love our dog she is 25 pounds and not all fat. I was told by other breeders that she could no way be a Pomeranian because of her size. Were we sold something else?

I am trying to register my purebred golden retriever
puppy online at akc. I have a paper application. I
have a couple of questions. first it asks me to click on 1. if i If
the litter owner completed the puppy sale online, or
2. if i have a paper application with a PIN number. I
tried both. when I tried the first option, it said
that the sire's code I entered was inncorrect, but in the
papers that the breeder sent me it had that code on
it. When I tried the second option it said that I
needed to type in a code for the box next to "to request limited
registration" The breeder of my puppy left this box
empty, not darkened, and no code. So obviously I can't type in a code. What do I do now?
How do i register my puppy?

that is frequently seen in puppies? One of my foster pups have it, and the new owners found out when they took her into their vet today.

Anyone who has experienced this? I have looked at the sites for it, and know about it.

Is this something that is vaccinated for in their vaccines, or is treated as they go?
