Do what I did when my Dane went through this - put everything away and buy a kong stuff it with treats and give him his own room when I am not home. Increase his exercise, when I started running my Dane for about 3 hours a day and several walks he calmed down quite a bit, it also helped that he grew out of the chewing faze.
Also be prepared to lose furniture, Merlyn ate two couches before he was done chewing things. (both times it was done in less than one hour).
And remember, laugh don't yell, punishing him won't change what happened.

Well there is really no way to stop a dog from chewing things. You might have to get him/her a lot of balls and ropes for him/her to play with. They might be getting their puppy teeth in or he/she is just going into the puppy stage. You will have the buy gates and close your doors like your bedroom doors and stuff so it can not get into your stuff. Also when you go out you should keep him/her in a crate or somehwhere where he/she will not wreck anything. If you are letting he/she get away with this stuff then she is going to keep on doing it. (ripping stuff up) Don't worry though because my dog went through the same thing. He is still ripping up stuff but it will end soon. Good Luck

This is normal puppy behavior.
1) you need to puppy proff your house
2) you need to supervise your puppy at all times..if you can't supervise him put him in a crate for his own safety
3) give your puppy plenty of safe chew toys of his own
4) if you catch your puppy chewing something he shouldn't tell him "no" take the item away and replace it with something he can have to chew
Remember do NOT ever do forced exercise with a Dane under the age of 18 months...this includes running/jogging, long walks/hikes, bike riding, frisbee, etc. To do so can cause very serious damage to joints and muscles.

ALL puppies love to chew....
They DO grow out of it eventually, but until then, keep stuff off the floor where he can't get to it!

Get him bones and kong toys. They work relly well. Teach him what no means so that when he chews something he's not supposed to tell him no in a stern voice and he should stop. And it's just a stage. he's probaly teething

Try spraying things with a fabric freshner(Febreeze). If he/she dosent like the smell he/she might stay away from it.Make sure he/she has toys that they can chew on.
