No. And a reputable breeder will not sell a puppy online either. You definitely need to take a look at where the puppy was raised and how it has been treated etc. You should be able to watch in play and give it a thorough check before you decide whether you want to purchase the puppy.

NO!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough! NOOOOO! Why buy a puppy online when there are so many out there that need homes? Go to your local shelter and adopt a puppy. Contact rescue groups and see if they have some puppies that you connect with. Be sure to have the puppy spayed/neutered at six months of age. Buying animals is not good. Do you know how many healthy, adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized every single day? 5.986. So please, no. Don't buy a puppy from a breeder. Breeders are nothing but trouble, and they profit from taking a good home away from a deserving puppy. Please don't buy a puppy online. Thank you. I have rescued at least a dozen animals, and I've seen horrible things as a pet rescuer. Please don't buy while shelter pets die. Opt to adopt. I have a bumper sticker that says that. Happy adopting! You'll be doing something you can feel good about in your heart. Know that you've saved a life, and when you get it spayed/neutered, you'll be saving even more lives from suffering on the streets or from being neglected.

If you know the breeder is a reputable one and you have solid references it could work. Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers out there but their modus operandi is usually to offer a pup or a dog for the cost of airfare or something like that. Then you pay up front and never see the puppy.
Also, if you purchase a puppy at a pet store check and see where the puppies are from. If from breeders then it is likely from a sub-standard puppy mill and over priced. HOWEVER, some pet stores like PetSmart and PetCo have organizations that utilize their space to show puppies, cats, kittens and dogs that are up for adoption and are rescues or from shelters. Generally speaking those shelters are no-kill though some are city pound. In any case you get to save a critter if you go that route.

If you have the puppy shipped, you have no way of knowing if the puppy is sick until you get it home and it is half dead. Sure, some dogs are shipped with no problems, but I wouldn't want to be the one that is scammed into buying a sick dog from a puppy mill. You need to meet the breeder. The breeder should want to meet the ones who buy their puppy. You need to see where and how the pups are raised. If you want to make sure you get a healthy puppy, findd a local breeder and go there and see the pup and the parents. See the temperament of the dogs in their care.

In my opinion. NO. It is a puppy not a used book. First you don't know anything about the breeders the parents or the condition of the puppy. Is the pup sick or energetic. These are important questions. I'm in the dog business. The Internet is great to find a breeder, but it is important to go there and see the pup in person. Contact you local AKC and animal shelters.

Thats a tough one.
Yes and no. If you go to a website for like a shelter than its ok.
But there was just a special on Inside Edition that was about buying puppies online. they're either sold too soon ( they're too young ) they may have a disease. Most of them die right after you purchase one. Go to www.insideedition.com and look at their story coverage list. Look for the one that has the Internet puppies.
It will tell you all you need to know about the affects of buying a puppy online.

of course i dont recommend it but look at puppyfinder.com or petfinder.com after researching insideedtion.com
good luck

I wouldnt trust it, i have heard some bad stories about buying puppies on line, you dont know what you are really getting, they could be sick and most of the breaders online dont treat there dogs well, its like 4-5 in a pin and most of the poor babies are sick
I would only buy if i have seen them and know for sure they are in good health

I hope you find what ur looking for good luck

I wouldn't after all you won't be able to check the puppy out. I think it is better if you can pick it up and really look it over before you buy one.
