according to sheer numbers, i would say its the tibetan temple dog, not the same as a lhasa, the temple dog was once a prised possession for the monks but scince the tibetans are not free, thier dogs have become nearly extinct, last count there were less than 35 in existance

The Sarplaninac dog is very rare. It comes from Kosovo. I had the pleasure of meeting two when I lived in Kosovo. They are huge dogs, very nice and interesting.

Check out the AKC website. I believe they list stats such as this. Chinese crested are a fairly rare breed.
