my female dog (adopted) is totally wild and roams around on the roads. last month, she gave birth to 7 puppies out of which 2 have already died....due to foolish drivers. the real problem is that i already have a male dog in the house who is no harm to the puppies coz he is scared of them!( my female mated with some other wild male) butut just the presence of the male in the house keeps dad nervous and he does not allow me to bring the puppies in.........i built a dog house for them but they only stay in it in the night or when it rains. how do i convine my dad to let the puppies in???what does the future hold for the remaining pups???

Hi,

I am posting this for a friend. She has a 13 week old Poodle puppy and for the last few evenings she has been having minor seizures. The puppy would get dizzy and shake and loose bladder control. This morning when she woke up the puppy can't even stand without falling over and walks erratically. She is going to the vet with it this morning but if anyone has any thoughts it would be greatly appreciated

I rehomed one 4 years ago who has the sweetest temprement of any dog i have ever met - he looks mean, but is really soft and about as trustworthy as dogs get.
Several friends and aquaintances also have EBTs and so far none of them has savaged anybody.

I am fully aware he is still a dog and therefore will never be 100% trustworthy but come on people!!!! There is no need to cross the street when one comes toward you.

This question was asked several months ago, but nobody had tried it at that time. Is there anyone who has tried it now and is willing to share their experience with me?

my nan and grandad used to keep two red setters, one night when we were sleeping we heard an almighty crash downstairs. we went downstairs to find the refridgerater door open and home made Jam all over the floor of the kitchen. the dogs slept in the dining room and the door was shut. perplexed we opened the door to find both dogs asleep and one of them snoring loudly. the give away was that they were both covered in jam. we fell about laughing and were astounded by thier ingenuity.

i want to feed my 2 year collie/spaniel the best diet i can,at the moment he is on commercial dry complete food (asda own make) mixed with a tin of tuna but i have heard a lot of bad things about it that it's like feeding them a mcdonalds,i have been looking in pet stores and the best complete food i seen was hill's science diet but it is far too dear,i am kind of on a budget so can any1 suggest the best diet for him i have seen a few brands that are reasonably priced in sainsburys they were 'HiLife,Iams and Purina are any of these good?and is it ok to keep mixing tins of tuna fish in sunflower oil with his dry food as it conains salt but i find dry food a little bland so like to mix something with it,also he is becoming a little overweight

My puppy (about 8 weeks old) came from the RSPCA, after being found starving on the street, and is apparently half Australian bull-terrier, half short-haired border collie. She is very active and demanding. She wants me to play all the time and jumps up at me, trying to bite my hands and feet (whether I'm sitting in a chair, on the floor with her, or standing up). If I tell her off, she looks up at me with big eyes, then she lies down looking up at me, like "You big bully, you scared me." Then after five minutes she starts again with the jumping. I have never hit her, and never would - I just say "NO" so she understands I don't like to be bitten, but she makes me feel so horrible! I don't have time to play with her non-stop. I take her for walks twice a day and she has lots of toys and rawhide to chew. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can teach her to calm down?

It seems like every 10th question has to do with when their dog will go into heat, what do I do now that my dog is in heat or what do I have to do now that my dog is pregnant. Is it really that hard to have a dog fixed? Don't people know that there is a serious problem with pet overpopulation?

You see i'm getting a dog called a Jindo. He is 3 months old. Currently i have 2 Golden retrievers both males aged at 4 and 8 and love them dearly. Now, I researched about the jindo and read somewhere that at a certain age they will start fighting these companion dogs to assert dominance. any way to prevent this from happening? there is no way of separating them because all the dogs stay in the garden.
