If you are on benefits or on a low income try the RSPCA or PDSA - explain the situation.
In past experiences the RSPCA will be the most helpful.
Good luck!

Why did you get a dog if you can't take care of it?I think you should find her a good home where her and the pups will receive the care they need. And you know, I have a real hard time with the I can't afford thing. I think not even knowing you're circumstances that it is more a problem with needing to rearrange your priorities. I am disabled with a severe spine condition and live on $655.04 a month. My animals all have whatever they need and I have no problem going without myself to make sure they do.I have a horse, donkey, 5 dogs and 5 cats as well as 3 turtle doves and some fish. If I can you can it just takes the want to and a little cooperation from the vet.

If you cant afford to look afetr your dog properly then you shouldnt have a dog in the first place. Its irresponsible and cruel to the dog. What if she had something really wrong with her? The best thing you could do for your dog is get her re homed with someone who can look after her. If she is pregnant, things will only get more expensive when the pups are born

For how long have you suspected that she might be pregnant? The only thing I would think of is that her tummy will slowly get bigger! Can you really not afford to take the dog to the vet? Maybe you should consider giving her away? If she is pregnant and has puppies you will be faced with lots of little ones that need care, attention and possible vet care too.. They all deserve that much at least.

I can't believe that one SO CALLED BREEDER on here actually encourages you not to use a vet. Calls herself a breeder and has never used a vet? Backyard breeders, puppy farmers, dealers, they're all the same. Cruel to animals, and think they don't need medical care. It's called NEGLECT. Nobody should be saying they can't afford a vet when they have a PC and internet access. Sell your belongs and do the right thing.

if you can't afford your dog's health care, you must find it a home where it can be properly taken care of. i'm certain you love the dog, & part of that is making the hard decisions regarding it's well being. hope all goes well for both of you.
the pdsa answer above this is a great answer. they treat animals for those on low incomes.

if you cannot afford to take your dog to the vets then you should have a dog. Give it up to a dogs home. That is like saying you don't have time to take your sick baby to the doctors. Wise up, dogs are a big responsibility. If you have enough money for a computer and the internet, you can take your dog to the vets!!!

if you know your dog has been off a leash and out of your sight when in season then she could be. if shes been with you all the time then not. if you have another dog (male) at your house then maybe too.

Well most counties and SPCAS have low or no cost spay and neuter programs. Call animal control and they will be more apt to tell you about the programs. If you do not have the money to take care of one animal hon, you might think about trying to place the dog or the puppies if they do come about with a no kill shelter..it is cruel to say this but if she isn't that far along she could be fixed NOW!
