puppy dog food b/c it has a higher fat content and vitamins for a growing puppy; just make sure that he is getting fed 3 times a day and a good quality food; you can't start mixing in things b/c it will be havoc on her digestive tract causing diarrhea which is the last thing ; plenty of water; if she isn't eating at all , call the vet.

Feed her a good balanced diet and give her a lot of love, that will soon have her gaining weight. Don't give her one big meal as she will not be able to handle too much if she has been starved in the past, break it down into 3 or 4 meals. I'd try her on a puppy food as that will have the nutrients for a growing dog even if she is out of puppyhood. Then take her to the Vet and have her checked over. Depending on age she may never reach normal husky size, but as long as she's a healthy weight she should be fine. Good Luck with her and give her a cuddle for me!

Take her for shots and worming and put her on a top quality food free choice. My dogs are all fed Eukanuba free choice and are at ideal weight.Although many don't like the idea I have always been a free choice feeder. Many don't like Eukanuba either. After reading so much bad about it on this site I had my vet call and speak with Eukanubas vet about their ingredients and she came to the conclusion that it is indeed a very good food.Everyone complains about the corn but my vet said the way they process their corn is very different from the way most do which leaves it a very good source of nutrient. I have always fed it and know for sure I always will now.

Start with a puppy chow. You want to strengthen her as well as build her up carefully. She should be able to digest puppy chow better. You didn't give the age of the newest huskie. If you are uncertain, talk to a vet or even have the wee one checked out. The vet will have helpful, nutritional ideas for you.

Have you taken her to the vet yet? She could have some medical problem that has caused her to be so thin or even just neglected. Regardless of what it could be though I would ask your vet for advice. Feed her puppy food. It's wonderful to hear you & your husband took her in. Hopefully she now has the loving forever home that shee needs. Good Luck! Hope she turns out to be a wonderful addition to your family!

Give her 3- 4 small meals a day until she has a bit more weight then reduce it to 2 meals a day this will help her! Also give her fish - tuna, sardines, mackrels- this will help her coat to become healthy and shiny again as they eat fish in the wild. This is what the breeder of my husky told me!!

Aww thats nice to hear.Well first of all, feed the poor mite up as you would your own husky. Then i think it could be an idea to get her checked out by a vet to see if there are any problems with her.I do hope you will keep and look after her too.

Poor little dog. It's a good thing that there are people lie you and your hubby around.
It sounds like a combination of starvation and possibly worms. I'd advide you to take her to the vet as soon as possible and have her treated and also vaccinated as you don't want your other dog to catch anything from her.
And best of luck with your new pet.

Give her some food and a drink And make an appointment at the vets to get her checked over! That way you will know whats what with her and it can hopefully be sorted.
Good luck!

When I got my puppy (a boxer) the breeder told me to feed him on scrambled eggs! I did and he loved it. I used three large eggs, cracked them into a heatproof jug, whipped them up and microwaved them until they firmed up (no salt, obviously). Fork them through again, then pop them in the dog's bowl with about a quarter of a pint of cold full fat milk to cool them down. The only problem you will have is that your other dog will be jealous!! The breeder also reccomended tinned rice pudding but he didn't like it.
I fed him on eggs every morning for about a year, with normal dog food at lunchtime, and again at tea time.
