2 sounds fine. I had a dog who was only around 40lbs that I used to give two in the am and two in the pm.

Plus the last time I was at the vet, she mentioned Benadryl to us and mentioned that a dogs absorption is different than a humans.

Use should be fine with giving your dog two!

why would you give your dog benadryl in the first place? Is this what your vet recommended? For what? Whether or not it's a pain in the a**, you need to call the vet's office and find out for sure just what he recommends for your dog. You do want what's best for your "little" friend, don't you? Don't go by consensus, go by the professional, they know what they're doing whereas we can only guess.

Hope your pooch gets better, whatever problem he has!

A consensus is not what you take to decide how much medicine you give your dog. You need to ask you vet and write it down so you don't forget. It may be a pain, but if you had remembered in the first place you wouldn't have to ask him again.
