My 12 week old pug puppy pees in his puppy litter box but will not poop in it. I use puppy training pads in the litter box which seem to work well when he needs to pee, but he will not poop in the box or on a pad. What should I do?

I have 2 dogs, one is an old english shepard and the othe rahs no breed since I picked up on the street. I ave had them for 7 and 10 years and they have never skin problems, but three weeks ago they sarted scratching and chewing on themselves like crazy, the shepdog even has discharge on his eyes and he´s been sad. So I know they have allergies, but the vet and I can´t figure out caused it? My neighbor is building a terrace so could it be that the dust from the concrete, sand and other materials they are using could be causing this allergie?

I am fostering a dog from the SPCA who was "debarked" by its previous owner. She tries to bark all the time. It sounds painful. Is it?

My dog has been on medicine for cushings for 5 days and was just wondering how long it takes to really start noticing a change in things like water intake, energy things like that.

This is a VERY rare breed from the former Yugoslavia. It is also sometimes referred to as the Yugoslav Mountain Dog. The original breed from the former Yugoslavia are huge (around 160 pounds). In some news reports you read about these dogs killing wolves and even a bears to protect its owner or livestock. I am looking for a breeder who breeds real Sarplaninac dogs. Has anyone here ever seen one? If so, would you know where they got it from?

I was wondering if it was OK to give my English Bulldog some of the food the rest of the family eats. Obviously nothing with bones! but i'm talking about maybe a hotdog or a slice of salami. When he sees us eating you know he can smell it. I'm sure the regular dog food he eats doesn't taste nearly as good as what we eat. I would like to get some advice here first. I wouldn't want the little guy to get sick.

The shot went through the upper part and can only be fixed with complete reconstruction and about 1000.00 but we know this will not work for her because she is a herding/pack operating dog. The vet said to either amputee it but that will cause severe pain due to the nerve endings being cut. VS just waiting and letting a calcium ball build there are maybe she will be able to walk with it later on, with a limp, or maybe she won't ever use it again. She is only about 5-6 yrs. and is a lover dog. Border Collie type.. We feel so terrible for her, and we thought we would just put her down, but when I got there I just saw in her eyes she was not ready to go yet. I wanted to give her a fighting chance. Did we do the right thing?

Please help. I picked up my 8 year old male golden retriever from surgery. The pain medicine has not worn off, but he seem to be in pain. Not wanting to sit down. He is just standing sround....waging his tail :). Is it ok to give him one pain pill. The doctor said wait 12 hours and give with food. I am in the middle of a blizzard conditions and getting out is not an option. I had to pick him up a day early from recovery because of the snow storm. Anyone out there any help. He looks great. Actually, aside from the pain. He looks very thirsty and hungry and cute.
