I have a teacup chihuahua. She is 2lbs. I just got her fixed this morning because I have 2 other bigger boy dogs & I didnt want her getting pregnant. The vet didnt give her anything for pain. she is just laying here crying & wont move, eat or drink anything.
Is there something I can do for tonight?

We live in a really small town & her vet is closed & if we call them after hours it cost $250.00.

Show her love. Then she'll have a good impression of you. Trust me that helps.

My best advice would be call a vet clinic that has a vet on call afterhours and get the vet to take a look at it if you dog looks like it is in that much pain.

I would take her to an 24-hour hospital. If anything, they can give you pain meds. If you are concerned enough to be asking for advice online, then you should just go.
Then, I suggest you find a new vet. Because they should have known better than to send your dog home without any meds.

Do not give her anything without checking with a vet since she just had surgery. Poor girl, the vet should have definatly sent her home with a few days of pain medication.

There may have been complications from her spay, because of her incredibly small-sized. I was not going to mention that you made a mistake in buying a terribly small Chihuahua, but it has to be said. Many health concerns have to be taken in to account with a dog that is only 2 pounds.

You should call the vet. If it's to late and they are closed I would find an all nite vet hospital and call them. Good luck

Try this: Go get some Children's Tylenol pain medication. The one with the dropper. (It's easier to give them liquid medicine with the dropper.) Give it to her as directed on the bottle and then take her to the vet tomorrow morning. Just make sure it's the children's tylenol! I hope she feels better!

Do NOT give your pup Tylenol she can suffer from Acetaminophen Toxicity which can be fatal as it causes liver toxicity. Please be careful especially due to your pups small size. I hope she is ok.
You"ll find a bunch of articles if you Yahoo or Google:
