My hunting dog has been suffering for awhile with his face swollen. We found out it was a bad tooth on his right side so my uncle pulled it out. Now his left side is swollen and he's unable to eat because of the pain.

We've been giving him antibiotics and penicillon but it's not helping. I know some people will say to take him to the vet but I don't have that kind of money and vet's cost so high around.

My dog is hungry but he can move his mouth to eat and it's making him weak that he can't stand up. I'm scared of him dying but I don't know what to do and I don't have any money. We've been cutting up weines and feeding him because he don't have to really them.

If anyone can give me some advice on how to help him so he'll survive than please contact me. I just feel like crying because I don't know what to do and I don't want to lose him. Please help?

okay, we all know that dog scuffles are just a fact of life at the dog park, but what if it is a serious fight? if someone elses dog "starts" a fight with my dog, who is responsible for the vet bills? what if my dog is attacked but then seriously injures the attacking dog? who is responsible for bills in that situation?

nothing has happened yet, but i was just wondering becuase i've heard conflicting reports on who has to pay/criminal charges.

my dog would never start a fight, but he would definitely finish it if he was attacked. there are so many idiot owners at the park that i want to know what my rights are.

If this new law kicks in I'll have to muzzle my bullys when I walk them does anyone out there know where I can get some as they have odd shaped faces, I got one the other day but had to get it in large but it's made for "normal" shaped dogs and it is wide enoght but too long & she can get it off when she really tries no matter how tight it is.
I think it's bloody stupid having to muzzle them because how many dog attacks happen to people when a dog is out and about on it's lead off of it's territory?
If you see an English Bull Terrier walking down the street with it's owner are you really going to let your child run up to it &cuddle it? NO you'd most likley cross the road because they look intimidating although most bully ownders have children bullys dote on family and are soft as a feather. I think muzzleing them in public will give them a bad name& being made to look agressive because they are wearing one. Sorry to bleat on but my little girl looks so depressed when I put it on her.

We just bought a house and we are looking to add a new dog to the family but are not sure what to get. I want a golden retriver and my husband wants a boxer and my daughter wants a st. bernard. We have a huge yard and lots of love.

I just got this dog yesterday and he is great with my son until today when he was messing with one of my son's toys and my son went for it and he snapped at his face! What should I do? I just got this pup and he's been good in all other ways. I'd hate to give him away after one close call. He was well punished for it. What do you think?

I know kicking and prouding are used, but in a case like a rottweiler or even a bulldog latches onto a limb how do you get them to let go as I've heard that they get quite determined about not letting go (re: incident with a dog and another dog loosing a limb). Is there a pressure point that you can't hit to make them release the bite? I volunteer at a shelter with strays, just curious in case this happens, what I should do.

My next door neighbors left their puppy outside in the rain, they've been doing so for some time now. She's a boxer mix it looks like. She's really sweet and very friendly. I've had the apartment complex notify them about leaving her outside constantly, What can I do to get her to look healthy again. She's thin and looks like skeleton. Help!!!

So this isn't the greatest topic... sorry :) But my Lab is 7 months old and she hasn't yet pooped today. Normally she goes twice a day. I've read in other yahoo answers that something like a spoon of canned pumpkin or yams in their food will help. Is that true? Anyone know something better. Anyone with tips from experience would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

meggie is a very gentle and loving dog. Now acting
strangely sometimes aggressive. stomach seems tender upon touching and she growls when touch.
x-rays perfect, not even arthritis. blood drawn perfect. Slightly listless, tired looking and if was person would say pail, feces fine. No energy then sudden burst of aggression maybe once a week.
nothing new in home. Any idea? Vet put dog on rimadyl incase of hidden pain. But, would like answer to her anger situation as has attacked my smaller dog. Way, way, out of character for her.
Unbelieveable for her. I have had her 4 years, she is 6 now no aggression at all before. Must be medical reason. Please help me, i do not have
finances for exploritory testing cannine does not need. thank you

Hi i have a dobermann puppy and im thinking of feeding a barf diet but im concerned about the link between high protein intake and hip dysplasia so was going to feed equal amount boiled rice to meat weight. Is this ok for his health? He is 8.5 weeks old at the moment.
