I can't decide if I want an Australian Terrier or a Jack Terrier. They are both small, adorable, and energetic but which one do you think is best for an apartment setting?

She will not eat and has only drank water a couple times. I took her to the vet today and they gave her antibiotics but was not specific to what the diagosis was.

okay- i have a golden retriever (1 year old) and a black labrador. (almost three years old.) so now at their age they both pull on their leashes-the golden doesn't sit or stay or lay down on command. (the lab can) they are just "untrained"(mostly the golden) i try to train them but they never listen! i think its cuz both of them are together but they just wont cooporate and the golden has a problem with jumping and. they are impossible and i dont want to take them to classes becuase i tried that before they just slept troough it. :( any ideas???

I got a three month old american staff terrier ( sorry i dont spell to good) last thursday from animal welfare. I am worried that he may be sick. All he is doing is sleeping and sleeping bearly playing at all he just lays around no interrest at all. He was throwing up and had diahreha quite bad, also a runny nose with green/yellow snot and his eyes were like draing a mucos.(sp) so i took him to the vet at the A/W but he was not there so a vet tech seen us. They gave us meds for kennel cough and worms. Its been about three days now and he is still just laying around sleeping. He doesnt want to eat nor drink just sleep. He might play for 5min then he is done. he wants to lay back down. Should i take him back to the vet?

My 10 month old Chihuahua is acting all vicious and agressive with everyone, I can't take him out for a walk because he starts to calls everyone's attention by barking and acting up... I'm getting worried and frustrated already because of his behavior... I have another 4 month old chihuahua but she is totally different, she behaves and is not the same way as he is... thanks

i have a female lasa-pom (lasa apso-pomerainine) born july 4th 2006 and male long hair chu-pom (chuwawa-pomerainine) born march 23rd 2006

i work for a dog farm (lasa apso and pomerainine mixes only) so i know about how to care and everything for pregnant dogs and new borns

but i wanted to breed my dogs together the fun chu-pom and layed back lasa-pom

i know they are to young now
but i was wondering what everyone else thought about this mix
oh by the way not breeding for curiosity or money, im keeping the pups for my younger sisters (if we decide to)

so two questions:
1- should i ...what is your opinion
2- when should we start

for the past couple months my 1-1/2 year old female chocolate labs, 89lbs, keeps running away, we got the invisible fence, it worked wonders on her at first, this was last year mid summer we started the fence and never had a problem besides squirells eating at it in spots unburiable. but all of a sudden the collar and the fence dont keep her at bay, it stil works on our terrior mut puppy of the same age if not a little older, she is spade and she just keeps running, she only goes a couple blocks if even that most times just to the other side of the fence, i just cant figure it out, we've replaced her collar 3 times and it still doesnt work so please help my mother wants to get rid of her or just let her run if she keeps doing it

We've recently aquired a gorgeous little golden lab and the little darling is absolutely the puppy from hell. I must say we are trying very hard to follow all the little rules for her in the puppy books, taking her for little walks, giving her time out to sleep, treating her for being good and generally seen as I've never owned a dog before I think we're doing a really good job.

Though I must be doing something wrong, when she gets playful she snarls and she bites - she attacked my partner and made his arm bleed, she seems to be overly aggressive with him rather than myself. Any suggestions - we've tried time out and nose tapping and ignoring, but nothing seems to work. She has plenty of toys and chews but doesn't seem interested. she seems more intent to chase and kill the cat!!!!!!!!!! Help Help she is so so sweet - is she too young for a little muzzle at 11 weeks? Or will this make it worse.
