Yes definetely!! I have an Australian Terrier in my apartment and he's great!! They're great dogs to have b/c they are small, quiet (doesn't bark alot unlike other terrier breeds), not as hyper, have little to no health problems associated w/ this breed, you don't need to do alot of grooming or walking, and they are extremely intelligent and obedient. He's a joy to have!!!

From what little I know about Aussie Terriers, I would say yes.
Jacks on the other hand are perpetual motion machines, and require a LOT of exercise. A bored JRT in an apartment is a destructive JRT.
Either one does best when not left alone for long periods of time. Dogs can & do become depressed if isolated for too long. If you can, get a pair so they are company for each other. Remember, dogs are pack animals.

do no longer write off the better canine merely because of the fact which you have a smaller area. With a million or 2 walks an afternoon, the extremely some extra laid-back great breeds do great in residences. I surely have 2 great fragrance hounds (bloodhound and coonhound) and that they had be high quality in an condominium because of the fact they frequently merely lay around till it's time for their walks.

Neither.
They both require a large yard with a fence. unles of course you plan on at least two hours a day jogging with your dog or playing at a dog park or something similar.
My two are home alone all day (I live in a duplex) and they're young, high energy dogs (lab mix and jrt mix) but we exercise them regularly for long periods of time.
A JRT, especially, will open his mouth every time he hears something. That's not necessarily a good thing when living in an apartment where there's bound to be noises all the time.

Aussie Terriers are extremely randy dogs so I suggest getting desexed esp if get male as they get very territorial and cock their leg alot.
Also Terriers tend to bark a lot and like to run around, you maybe better with a quieter breed such as Lhasa or Shih Tzu.

Not really for an apartment. Terriers love to bark and dig. Try a Basenjii, they really don't bark.

terriers in general are not good for apartment because they are so energetic. i would try to find another breed or go to your local shelter and adopt a mutt.
