Oh my gosh you dont need to be a pet parent if you cant take the poor dog to the vet and see if its pregnant, No you can not use a Home Pregnancy test on your dog, it is a dog not a human, there is a big differance between a dog and woman, so be a good pet owner and take the dog to the vet and see if the poor dog is pregnant cause it is going to need prenatel care from a vet if you dont know what that means then it is before the pups are born and then how are you going to afford to take the momma dog if something happens during whelping, and she needs to have a C-Section if she is pregnant, you need to take the dog to the vet and have her spayed that way your not producing more unwanted puppies in this country,, Sorry dont mean sound so rude but you need someone to be this way cause you are only going to hurt your dog if you dont take her to the vet and have her fixed, You dont have a clue about breeding so you should have thought about letting her breed with a male now you are you considered a BYB if she is pregnant

No, it won't pick up anything if you use a human pregnancy test. The hormones in dogs and humans are different so you would be best taking your dog to a vet if you are unsure and if it wasn't a planned mating, you should have your dog spayed. I am sorry about the vet but it is the only way i know you can go to certain shelterrs and they will do it for a lower fee then most places ask around and see if you can have a price deduction

No, it is useless, because home pregnancy tests detect the presence or absence of a hormone called HCG( Human Corionic Gonadotrophine) in urine. Canine placentas don´t produce this hormone. The most accurate test is ultrasound imaging( ecography), and it can be performed since 18-20 days of pregnancy up to the final days( 60), by an experienced vet or technician. It is safe for the puppies and of relatively low cost. IIt also shows some malformations if tehy are present and give ideas of fetal viability during the final stage of pregnancy.

Good lord!

Sounds like you know just what you're doing!

How do you plan on paying for all the pups' shots? What if something goes wrong and mom needs a c-section? You do realize that everyone, inlcuding mom needs a vet check, right? There is always the possibility that there's a dead pup left inside mom....didn't know that did you? Wuld you know what to do or how to even tell if all the pups have been born?

Do you think you're going to make money off these pups? Not a chance. Especially if you don't get their shots and deworm them.

Why is your dog not spayed?

Sheesh!!!!! This is why our shelters are so full!

ADDED...Now that I've read through your profile and know how old you are, WHY WOULD YOU ASK THIS? You're not even old enough to drive!

THE DOG IS YOUR PARENTS' RESPONSIBILITY! STOP ACTING LIKE AN ADULT ON HERE!

Because of this question a lot of people on here are going to take you for an adult who's a complete idiot and is not a responsible pet owner. Is that what you want? Or do you want people to respect your answers and take you seriously?

yes its designed to test for (Relaxin): a hormone that is produced when the fertilized egg is implanted. It generally takes about 21-25 days following fertilization for the egg to implant and produce detectable levels of Relaxin in the blood stream. Relaxin hormone remains in the bloodstream during pregnancy and can also be an indicator if the pregnancy is lost or spontaneously aborted. it is possible to tell if planned mating was successful, and also to tell if unplanned pregnancy has occurred. also helps rule out "false pregnancy" that can occur in females exhibiting signs of pregnancy that are not actually pregnant. ask about it but there is more natural signs can tell u if the ***** is pregnant

No, and why did do you have a dog if you can't afford to properly take care of her? How will you pay for all the puppies? Will you just add them to the hundreds of thousands of pets already in shelters?

A female dog can produce 4,372 puppies in 7 years! GET YOUR DOG SPAYED!!

No, you can't use a home pregnancy test for a dog. You need to take your dog to the vet to have it examined or if it's been over 21 days since bred then an x-ray or ultrasound.

find a way to afford the vet. human meds and tests are for humans ONLY not dogs or cats or birds or snakes or skunks or ferrets or fish or snails or anyother kind of pet. you have a pet, they need to be vetted from time to time be a responsible pet owner and take the dog to the vet, cut back on cigarettes and beer or soda and snacks or whatever and find a way to be a good pet owner that cares for their pet properly, and use a vet.
did i mention that veterinary care is important? take her to a vet.
and if she isn't pregnant, have her spayed so she doesn't get pregnant...

no you cant use a human test BUT you can purchase an at home test for your dog. It involves takin a blood sample which can be just a small prick on one of her pads if you can handle that. I know you can buy them online and its way cheaper than a vet. So good luck!
