The Jollyes train of Petfood shops (one of thoes massive wherehouse type places) sells Bull Terrier muzzles, massive leather things, i used to work at a Jollyes and had the pleasure of sizing up some these for a customer...
oh and i understand the rant, i love Rotties, you think the press is bad for Bull Teriers? lol and they just dont deserve it, the only bull terriers i have seen have been silly, fun creatures, and fiercely loyal....but its so hard to change peoples perception....*sigh*

You need to seek professional help FAST as if she bites someone badly then she may have to be destroyed. A muzzle is a good idea, if only for a short time until you can get it sorted with professional help. There are some great dog trainers out there who specialise in problems like this so have a look on the internet and book her in ASAP. It might cost a bit but that is far better than the alternative, if she attacks someone, or another dog. The trainer will probably teach you how to help prevent this behaviour too. It may be that she is picking up on some vibes you give out. My dog can be violent with other dogs too, but that is because he is very protective of me and picks up on the nervous vibes I give out when another dogs comes near because I'm worried he's going to get nasty. Seriously, you need to get this sorted - people are silly but what if she attacked and injured a child? They don't know any better and think that all doggies are cute and fluffy. Both the child could lose it's life, or at least be disfigured forever, as could your dog if she has to be destroyed. I'm a dog owner too so know how you feel, but this is serious and needs sorting.

I agree with you. The recent fatal attacks have been inside homes & the other ones I'd heard about involved free running dogs.
Have you tried typing muzzle into Froogle to see what comes up?
The first page that I found has muzzles (re Dr Mugford) & though your dogs are not mentioned specifically, it does to a one that flexes to fit, which might be suitable.

Though I couldn't see any measurements. - the manufacturers site has a list of recommendations - though it does lump all the Bull Terriers together ... which isn't really that helpful, because, as you say, they have different shaped heads.

(just noticed that there is even a muzzle available for a goat!)
I'd recommend that you contact the Dog Warden at your local Council & ask his or her advice - it might save you spending out on yet another one that doesn't fit.
Good luck.

I have three little yorkies. If a yorkie had savaged and killed a child then I wouldn't hesitate to muzzle mine. It's all about safety and caring for your dog and other people. Don't worry if your little girl is depressed .. cos you are saving her from any one picking a fight with her while out with you. If I was out and saw you with a muzzle on your dog then I would ask first before I petted your dog... or anyone elses.
Keep your chin up and your dog safe. Ask your vet if they know where to get the muzzles. Might be able to help you.
Shame I know.. but all for safety..

First, I am sorry to hear you may be required by law to muzzle your dogs just to walk them. You may want to look at some online pet supply companies. Some have muzzles made for dogs with different shaped faces. I know that they make them specially for dogs like chow chow (which I have), rottweilers, pit bulls, etc. that have very wide faces so you may be able to find something like that.

i got mine from ebay 30 quid including postage but that was about six month ago.
ps i do exactly the same i dont like putting it on my dog either
but no one can say your dog bit anyone
so really your doing your dog a favour
because if it did accidentally nip or someone says it did
the police would take one look at your dog and have it destroyed.
