My dog is a papillon/ chiuawa ( panicked sorry about spelling? ) and she chews alot. I have no knowledge of her chewing anything swallable, and I am afraid she might have the flu or something is stuck in her throught. Symtoms include:
whenever you move her she starts a grunting noise repeaditly until she tries to barf and nothing comes out

she drinks then barfs it up / same with food

not herself? ( i dont know how to put it )

I am aware it is common in any stress related situation. I have also had a puppy die from it,
HELLO TYKE-----you stated it was "A VERY simple, easily treated parasite!!!"
What should I have done...Please don't blast me. This is a very real concern for me. I often ship my puppies and any help will be appreciated and used.

He licks himself, his bed while he's lying in it, furniture, people, etc. And, I mean ALOT! - he will lick the whole area where he is going to nap at before he lays down. Is this normal or a breed issue - he's a Shiba Inu. I'm worried about him getting sick from cleaning products or even hair - he coughes up fur balls like a cat! Any suggestions?

I have a dog that given toys destroys them in minutes. The only thing she can play with is Nylabones, which she just makes teeth marks into. Even the biggest black Kong is no match. I feel bad because the only thing she really gets to play with is a ball and we have to constatnly watch her and even just playing fetch it gets destroyed in about 20 minutes. We believe she is part pitbull.

I currently have a puppy who is 11 months, i have the insurance from petsmart which is banfield.... for the first time ever (i have had a dog my whole life) the vet informs me that my pup has diarreha and vomiting due to a sore throat... i never had a dog who had a sore throat and he keeps getting them every 2-3 months... the medicine they gave him makes the dirareha worse in my opinion so i stop giving it to him and the matter seems to go a way. my mom thinks they are taking me for a ride... can someone give me some insight.... is the vet just misdiagonising or is there really a sore throat for pups

I have a 2 1/2 year old American Bulldog. He got in a fight with the dog next door today. He has several bites on the back of his neck, around his head, and on his ear. He just wants to sleep. I don't have the money to take him to the vet... Is there anything I can do for him myself from home?

My 4lbs shih-tzu may have eaten a small piece of either garlic or onion, not sure (it was about 1 inch big...so not a lot). She vomited this morning, but has had no other symptoms that something is wrong. Well, she's been peeing a lot, but no blood in her urine...what should i do?

I already made a vet appointment for tomorrow morning and I'll know for sure when I take her to the vet; however I was curious to know if people have experience with dog ear infections and dog mites. Some symptoms, causes, etc.

My dog is scratching hear ear like crazy repeatedly and it's a bit red. I'm assuming based on that it could be an ear infection of some sort.

Thanks

I'll try to make this brief. The dog ate a rope toy, and was taken to the vet. Vet did a Barium test and discovered a blockage in the intestine. Surgery was performed, rope was removed along with a piece of wood. Intestine stitched back up, dog sent home. Next day the dog was bloated, not eating or drinking, etc. They took him to the emergency vet where he stayed the night. In the morning he died. Emergency vet did an autopsy and discovered that the intestine had pulled away from the sutures. My friend, who owned the dog, blames the vet who did the surgery. Even after she admitted to allowing the dog to jump into the truck when she picked him up (after surgery). Emergency vet saw nothing to prove that the other vet made any mistakes, she said the intestine tore and he bled to death internally (Shouldn't the ER vet have foreseen this?). I know it's hard to say, but I think allowing the dog to jump into the truck probably tore the sutures. Any thoughts on this?

I have a 3 month of long-haired female chihuahua dog. She "shakes off" a lot (just like what dogs do when they get wet or whatever) and afterwards, she seems like she's dazed and/or dizzy. It's almost as if I'm dangling something in front of her, and she's trying to follow it with her eyes/head...but I'm not actually dangling anything.

I'm guessing she has an ear infection (due to the excessive shaking) but the dazed look afterwards is the most frightening part. Help?

She'll be going in to see the vet in 4 days for her last set of puppy shots, so I just want to be prepared before we go in. Thank you in advance!

My puppy is incredibly mean. He is now around 3-4 months old & is teething, which is horrible in itself. Another bad thing? Ive had him nearly since birth (6 weeks), & have been working on training him every since. I know he is young, but I know younger puppies who have already learned to use the bathroom on their "pads" or are getting the hang of crate training. I tried both methods-crate to begin with, which absolutely did not work, and then I have switched to pads and have been practicing this for over a month and a half now and not ONCE has he used the bathroom on them. I scold him, and show him the pad. I attempt to catch him in the act and place him on the pad, but it doesn't work. I've even tried putting some of his "mess" ON the pad so he would be more provoked to use the bathroom there, but that doesn't work either! I'm beginning to think nothing is ever going to work. I trained a collie within one week, at only 8 weeks, before. This is a pekapoo, a mixture between a pekingnese and miniature poodle.. Someone mentioned poodles are very difficult to train, could this be the reason? Please help me out!

we just got our 14 month miniature beagle, the previous owners said she was spayed but her nipples hang but they're not full. Does this mean that she had a litter and then got spayed? or Is it just this particular breed?

she wants something kinda small-medium sized, quiet, super loving, and pretty chill for the most part.
