Doesn't mean anything really. I have 8 Shih Tzu's and they all carry some sort of something in their mouth. Heavens if anyone else should have the toy. Don't worry it is normal.

It just means she loves that toy and doesn't want anyone else to have it so she carries it around to keep someone from stealing it. I have one who always did the same thing until she grew out f the puppy stage.

My dog has a toy she carries all around she does it because she likes her toy, no biggie

I have a 2 year old female dog that does the same thing. She just likes to show off her toys. It seems to be more prevalent in females. I guess they like to show off their cool stuff!

Possibly that he or she just happends to like that toy or wants your friend to play with him or her. I wouldn't read to much into it.
