what worked with my dog was toddler toys, his favorite is a heavy duty plastic see/saw type thing,,,,, which i actually found by someone setting it on the side of the street when they were moving,,,,,,, you might also check at the salvation army/goodwill,,,,,,, anything colorful and study,,,,,, without small detachable parts, that you find in the baby/toddler section of a store, should work,,,,,,,,this one has lasted 3 years with my dog,,,,,,,

Over the years we've had dogs that love to destroy toys. The best you can hope for is to increase the time taken...the longest-lasting type of toy we found was the type made from rope, especially when made into loops.
Your dog will probably still try to destroy these, but because they are quite tough, it can take a while before they are totally destroyed. Most dogs will continue to play with this type of toy for a considerable time (even after you think there's hardly anything left!) It will be lying in a few shreds of cord before the dog will give it up.
Hope that helps, and good luck,
Cheers,

I have the same problem with my dog. You can try small tires. My dog took a while to destroy his. Also, Kong dog toys are designed for dogs that destroy anything else. However, in my experience, my god doesn't like them because he CAN'T destroy them. So they tend to just sit around. Also all customers I talk to (I work at a pet store) say the same thing about their dog's interest in Kong toys. Other then that, I just get my dog rawhides because those are intended for chewing and eatting. Although, don't give your dog too many of them as they can cause digestion problems.
I hope this helped.

Wow...not too many dogs can destroy a large black kong.
How about the Gaililleo? It is an oddly-shaped rubber toy that is super tough. Many heavy chewers cannot break it.
You can also try a bit of obedience training against destroying everything. If he gets frustrated out of having nothing to chew on, he may move on to your carpets, shoes, or other personal forbidden items.
Also, try bully sticks. They are completely edible and your dog will love you for them. Reward him with one if you catch him doing something good like NOT destroying a toy, or after a complete training session.
Try the 12' sticks which should last a couple of hours at best.

My daughter has a dog that sounds a lot like yours and she is also part pit bull. The only toy she didn't destroy is my grandmother's old bowling ball, she actually used to carry it around in her teeth! Until my daughter had to put it away as she could break everything in the house with it.

have you ever tried giving him marrow bones exterior? Or a advantageous enormous knuckle bone? uncooked. Cooked bones are risky. which will provide him some thing to artwork on for awhile. the only different element that my dogs can no longer injury is tires. definite, tires. We dangle one in the backyard for our jumper and we depart one on the floor for them to chew on as properly. no longer the rest works. Even the toys categorized 'indestructable', they are in a position to tear aside in 5 minutes or so. So we provide them those with supervision. something of the time, that is tires, bones or braided bullysticks. Our dogs get sufficient exercising primary - 2 one hour walks at a minimum. They nonetheless like to chew whilst they're unsleeping. that is not constantly an exercising concern. They have been given 3 miles this morning and function been snozing on and rancid for the time of the day, yet chewing whilst unsleeping. that is what they do. basically make certain which you do provide them uncooked bones exterior. once you are going to apply tires, wash them off first to get any chemical components off.

WalMart has a thick rubber fire hydrant that is very similar to a Kong toy, and alot cheaper too. They have a hole in the bottom so you can put a large milk bone into. Satisfies the desire to chew and they get a treat also. My male doberman has had his for almost 3 yrs and has not been able to destroy it yet.

Yeah I had a dog that was like that would just trash his toys in minutes and he was a tiny little thing went through so many toys. So I went out found some thick rope bought a bunch of it and would cut parts of it off so when he shredded that tug I would have another one handy. Im sure its probably a stage he's going through.
