I am looking at possibly getting a pomeranian for my 16th birthday. I am just wondering about the shedding. That seems to be the current problem with my parents. I have looked online and it seems that it is just depending on who you talk to. Some say that the dog sheds horribly, others say as long as you brush him once a week (which i am willing to do..) it isn't bad. So I was just wondering if an owner of a pom could give me some help. Do they shed all the time? Is it alot of hair? Do you have to vaccuum alot? I have a yorkie right now and he barely sheds at all. So this is kind of the dealbreaker.

We just bought a house, and the previous owner and their neighbours were very close for over 30 years, and never put up a fence. The neighbour enters their yard through our side of the fence as it's closer to their garage... we don't want to put a physical fence if we don't really have to, and the only thing is that we have a dog, and although the neighbour says they won't mind, but we don't want our dog to "go" in their yard... We are thinking of an invisible fence, but not sure if it will work. I have read the other questions and answers and understand it depends on the dog whether it will work, and my dog is medium sized, and usually easily trained when it comes to boundaries.
Are there manufacturer's guarantees in case it doesn't work for my dog?

Ok I just got a new puppy for my birthday and they told me he was 7 weeks old but he doesn't look like it and he doesn't act like his sight is as good as it should be and he cries BAD but if I pick him up then he is fine I am fixing to have a baby so I couldn't hold him and cook so I put him in the baby swing and he went right to sleep. Is he really seven weeks or is he younger and why does he cry when no one is holding him?

I know it's a gross question, but my puppy is 3 months old and I'm getting him groomed for the first time in a couple of weeks and wondered if he was old enough to get this done also. I heard that it makes them feel better :)

What is a humane and kind way to train a Burmese Mtn Dog, (about one year old) to stop grabbing people by the arm and feet when they are moving?

Okay, so there was this seventh grade guy, and he always walked to school. he walked behind peoples houses. and then one day, a persons rottweiler broke through its fence and attacked him. the kid almost died. the reason the dog attacked him was because the boy banged on the fence, driving the dog crazy, and the dog attacked him, causing the boy to have over 3,000 stiches. I thought this story was true, because something similar happened to this guy at my school, only he had his arm ripped off.

We had to put my older dog down the other day, and since then my younger dog has not been herself. She won't come out of her crate, even for toys or treats. She comes out to eat and go potty then goes back in. I realize they need to grieve, but I feel awful. Is there anything I can do to cheer her up?
