I have a ringworm problem that isn''t going away. My dog has had it since October 15, it is now December 4. I have taken her to the vet twice. Skin scrap was positive for ringworm for 3 patches on her mussle (one right on her lip where she can lick it). Our vet first put her on Cavamox, 2 pills of Program (given 2wks apart), and topical Tresaderm (twice/day). Well, that only improved it alittle, so then we used (topical) Clotrimozole and held her mussle shut for 5-10 minutes (3 times a day). It has gotten better but still not gone. Our vet didn''t give any other advice for getting rid of it finally for good. So..my question is, is there something else I can give her or do that will clear it up quickly? I wonder if I could use human products on her because she can lick them, or somekind of home remedy? Also, how do I know it is gone, what do I look for? Thank you for your time, it is greatly apreciated!
Very frustrated!!

"Dogs Welcome"

A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation.

He wrote:
"I would very much like to bring my dog with me.
He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"

An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote:

"I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly.
And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill. Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel.
And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

She was dewormed when she was smaller about 3 months I would say. Is it bad that they have reoccured or normal. And how did she get them back, she was at the vet 2 months ago and did not have worms at that point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

She is very well-trained and stays right with me until off-leash dogs either chase her or lunge at her - then her reaction (logically) is to run. I have tried stopping, speeding up, etc. She is perfectly social when I am walking alongside her but we both prefer the bike riding thing until some stupid owner lets their dog ruin our day.

I have a short-haired dauschund who likes to spend her mornings under direct sunlight. Is there any logical reason why she does that? She goes out and lies outside the door and for about an hour returns inside the house. Is it normal? please hlep me... :)

I'm looking to buy a dobe that is good with kids. It can be a few months old or a year, male or female. Would be great if it were trained to go outside.

I adopted a one year old female Toy Fox Terrier last Thursday. She has always peed in the potty pad, however, she has only once pooped in the potty pad. The other times she has pooped outside the box which contains the potty pad. She always waits until I am not around to do her business so I cannot correct her. I live in Northern Illinois and there has been below freezing temperature here so when I have tried to walk her outside to eliminate she just wants to go back inside.

Thanks you.

My 5 year old English pointer is a very active beach dog. However, after playing too much and over compensating on her front left paw (for one reason or another), it became extended and flat looking. The vet said it was degeneration of the paw, basically a condition where the toes/foot look funny and elongated and lose their natural bend..The cartlilige and everything else basically breaks down. This makes her limp but does not slow her down. The vet suggested for her to lose some weight and quit running so much, however, the paw never gets better. I am worried it looks like it may become lame in a year or 2. You can hear the limp in her stride on the wood floors. But at the beach or park, you would never know it, it never stops her which is truly the sad part in the long. Is my dogs paw going to give out before she does? She goes crazy when you don't exercise her, so that is not an option. I could resort to swimming her only but that is hard. thanx

I have found out that alot of the commercial brands are not the best and I tried to switch but he doesn't seem to like any of the ones that are made good so I have decided to make his food for him but I need a recipe. I know it's 40%protein 30%???? and 30% something else but I have no idea. I would not know what would make 40% so an exact recipe would be GREAT.

She is a very laid back pup and has been since I brought her home. She played in the beginning, but it takes alot of motivation from us to get her going. She eats, drinks and mainly sleeps. Her stool is slimey...she is slightly thin, so I am feeling like there might be a worm issue, so that I am taking care of tom. any ideas from anyone???

There are no other pets in the house. They are not related. Is this normal, could it be establishing dominance? I'm trying to be serious; so please, don't tell me they're gay.

I have an 8-month old male chihuahua. When you look at him square in the face, his eyes appear to be a greenish/yellow. But in certain angles his eyes appear to be very red -- in color, not like blood-shot eyes. He looks like a devil dog! He has white fur and when he gets tired the skin around his eyes, nose and mouth becomes very pink. He's not an albino dog, is he??
