Our Golden Retriever Pup (6 months) is havin some issues with biting my kids. She will not only bother them when they are sitting but laying down or even just waking from room to room. I have tried almost everything that I can think of doing without causing anymore damage to the kids. She also does this with our kitten. Anyone have any suggestions of what I could do?

We are leaving for Missouri day after tomorrow to speak out against Puppy Mill Owners/Operators in front of the Justices of the Missouri Supreme Court! Thank ALLof you for your time and effort to close these misfits down!We couldn't believe all of the documents we got from all of you! One brazen operator appears to be trying to sell out, but it won't help them, we have the records dating back on them for 5 years! For some who OPPOSED our efforts by crying UNFAIR to honest breeders, YOU should KNOW where your puppies really came from, then you would NOT be on the Puppy Mill Owners side! As a Retired Vet with OVER 30 years in business, I have FIRST HAND information on one of the so called breeder of Dobermans, I was the pups Vet! I KNOW first hand! If you want to decry over the Puppy Mill Owners fate, then you will just have to cry! We want to close ALL PUPPY MILLS DOWN! Missouri is our next stop! 2 of the Cities we are looking at is Springfield and Collins. We will keep everyone posted!

I know, I talk way too much about my dog,but anyway.

He is 4 months old, a pug, and he weighs 11 lbs, just guessing I think he is about 1'3''..i think ( or the length of my computer keyboard actually, lol) , if that makes any difference, he isn't fat at all , but I was just wondering if this is under/over/normal - weight for a pug pup.

I have a 5yo male chihauhau who will spend all afternoon outside and still come in the house and potty. He is not fixed but at this point I have been told that will not help anyhow. I have a dog diaper for him but am worried that may not be good to leave it on him all the time. Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with my dog? He has been doing this for quite some time and we have tried crating him ect. He is sneaky and we hardly ever catch him peeing. We also have 2 other dogs both male, one of them is intact but the Chihuahua is the only one who pees in the house, the other two dogs do not go in the house at all. My chihauhau has even peed on my son's bed, on the living room rug, on a trash bag that is waiting to go out. There is no regular spot. Thanks for any help or insite.

My dog is missing a back leg, he is a 66 lb german sheperd. I was told by the vet what I should and shouldnt do with him to prevent ACL injuries, such as frisbee and stuff like that. My question is: if he did sustain an ACL injury in his hind leg, and is already missing a hind leg, then what the heck would happen then? How would he get around? Anyone know of this happening or had it happen to their dog? I'm serious by the way.....

I have a Treeing Walker Coonhound and she loves to bark and howl. I have been training her to only bark to alert us if there are people around, if she needs out....etc. She still barks at things like other dogs and cats, but now she listens when we give the Quiet command.

I have noticed in the last couple of days that her voice is sounding like she has laryngitis. It doesn't have that hearty bellowing howl that she used to have. I checked to make sure she doesn't have anything in her throat.

Usually I thought as a dog ages their voices get louder, not emptier. She never had that puppy yippy voice, we adopted her at 6 months.

We've just gotten our first big snowfall this year here in the midwest. My dogs are in heaven when they go outside. Especially my lab who likes to dig through the snow for ice chunks.

Anyone else have dogs that go nuts in snow? Just looking for some stories for entertainment purposes...

I just got my puppy 1 week ago from a home where she was abused. She has one disfigured paw from being stuck in chicken wire. She went the vet for the first time at 11wks old-now 12wks and the vet said to keep an eye out for it. She runs, jumps and is very active all day. This morning she woke up and had a little bit of a limp when she walked slowly. She was fine to run. She also is terrified of people because she was abused. She also is a huge snorer. I was afraid she was sick because she was snoring very loud and he nose was running. Are these things normal? Is my puppy ok? Her next vet appointment isn't until the 19th when she gets her next round of shots. Do puppies also become hesitant to eat new food?

We have a big chocolate lab who is normally potty trained, but my son did not let him out to wee, and it was more than he could take, so he whizzed in front of the door in the utility room. and in front ot the washer and freezer. Now I am mopping up urine and it smells terrible. I have used clorox and some laundry detergent in my mop water. What else is reccomended?

I've got a blck lab about 1 1/2 yrs old, and she stays outside in a 10x10 ft kennel. Last night it got below freezing I think. This morning it was 31 degrees. And I live in Louisiana. I didn't bring her in last night, as we (mum and I) didn't know it would get that cold. She's doing fine, though. She has an igloo dog house filled with hay, although she usually sleeps out in the open on the hay outside her kennel. I was wondering, though, how cold would it need to get to bring her inside? Do I even have to bring her in? I know 99% of dog owners around here would just leave their dogs outside no matter how cold it gets.... Anyway, how cold is too cold for a black lab with short fur? She's the slim, lanky type of lab. Not the big, blocky ones. =P I'm bringing her in tonight. I think it gets to 28 degrees tonight. 0_o
