We kept our pup in an old kids playpen.
I know it sounds silly but because the pup doesn't want to do the toilet where it sleeps it learns very quickly that they have to go when they are given the chance.
Then every time he did the toilet outside we made a big fuss of him giving him treats etc.

Look up crate training. This is how Guide Dogs and other assistance dogs are trained. It works because it uses the pup's natural instinct to be clean, and thus minimises the chance of accident. I won't put it all here, just put it in google. It will also help you to put a command to toileting, so the dog will go on command. THis is a very useful thing, and is easily trained in a puppy.

If you are around during the day the best way is to use a crate and train your pup to go straight out into the garden.
If you are leaving your pup alone during the day you can't lock it up in a crate and should use paper training.

it particularly is particularly helpful to attempt retaining her in the cage with the door closed. make effective the section she has interior is vast sufficient for her to place down and stretch out conveniently, yet no longer so vast that she will bypass potty in one section and lay in yet another. shop her in her crate for 2-3 hours at a time and as quickly as you enable her out, take her to her potty place. which would be a muddle field or a pad, i've got had fulfillment with the two. while she isn't in her crate confirm you watch her heavily, and if she starts off to have an accident p.c.. her up and flow her to the potty place. confirm you compliment her for getting into the superb spot and in no way scold her for injuries, which will only make her extra scared and attempt to bypass once you're no longer finding. making a huge deal and giving various affection and treats while she does it properly will make her p.c. to tutor off and do it extra often. Having a usual time table for feedings, strolling and bedtime will make her extra predictable and much less probable to have injuries. stable success!

Put plenty of newspaper down for all of those little accidents.
As he/she starts to get the hang of it slowly introduce the newspaper to ur door, so the pup gets the message of going to the door everytime he/she wants a wee/poo.
Also try putting it outside when u see it looking around for somewhere to wee/poo but be careful if he/she hasn't had their injections yet u don't want it catching any nasty infections...
Gud luck

give them some newspaper to go on indoors in an area you can clean up. If they look like they want to go stick them on the paper. then gradually start putting some paper outside for them to use. Keep letting them out regularly so that they get used to it. Leave paper down overnight. then if they go it is in one place and they don't feel scared to go.

Start by having your dog tap o the door or ring a bell tied to the knob to get out, when it learns to do that you will know when to take it out.
But starting out only for potty time and not just to play.

If you keep it kenneled or tied to a close proximity and put it out when it whines to go. Puppies won't ever go in their own bed. Once they get the feel for going outside, you don't have to keep it kenneled or tied up anymore, but keep your eye on it for when it sniffs around like it wants to go. it's worked every time for me.

You have to constantly bring them outside every 20 minutes. Puppies have a hard time hold their bladder. When they go outside, treat them.
