YES.

Get her into a vet and have her spayed now! Your dog should have been spayed as a puppy, letting her breed is irresponsible. Let raising puppies stay in the hands of reputable breeders, not average joes.

And while you are on the phone setting up the appointment, get your pup neutered now too. Its better for the both of them to have this surgery done. If you can't afford it then contact your local shelter and ask about spay neuter assistance programs or low cost vets.

Absolutely! You should go to the AKC or UKC websites, go to ask.com or do a google search on sexual maturity of dogs. There's a ton of information available on this subject, as well as all other topics relating to dogs. Another good place to check is the ASPCA website. You don't say whether you're trying to breed your dogs or if it's just happenstance. Either way, make sure you're not just bringing puppies into the world for the sake of having puppies. They're a huge responsibility and really, the world has too many dogs already that aren't being cared for properly. As someone who has raised 2 litters of puppies (planned breeding of my mini American Eskimos), I take this very seriously. As far as I'm concerned, I'm responsible for all puppies from these 2 litters (9 total) for the rest of their lives. I made sure I did the research first, which included talking to some very well respected breeders. I also made sure I found great loving homes for all puppies, BEFORE they were conceived. It's a whole lot of work even before they are conceived, but the work is neverending after they're born. Lots to do, like make sure the Mom is seen regularly by a vet before, during and after pregnanciy, make sure the puppies are born healthy, even assisting in their birth if necessary, taking them to the vet asap, getting all their first shots, cleaning up after them, weaning them, socializing them, making sure they're safe and not getting into anything that can cause them harm, etc. And then, placing them with loving caring people. That was probably the hardest, because after 10-12 weeks, they are a part of your family. Good luck to you!

Oh yeah baby! It is true, the little guys can make it happen. A lot of ritzy breeders occasionally use young dogs that finish early long before the dog has ever been health tested. Females are pregnant for 61-63 days. You should notice a size change in 30-40 days if she is pregnant.

It is possible, I figure. Since an 8 month old female can get pregnant, I'm sure a male of the same age is able to get her that way.

It depends on the breed of the male. But even a large breed male of 8 months may be able the sire a litter.

Of course. Why would you have let them mate if you didn't know what would happen? Real responsible!
