Well, this answer probably will vary based on personal beliefs, etc..., but when an animal is extremely ill and it's quality of life is severely compromised, then yes, I think euthanasia is the most humane thing to do for an animal.

If an animal is sick, suffering euthanasia is kind. This decision, ultimately, must come from you. Just remember, you loved and cared for your pet. If 'quality of life' is gone, it may be time to let go.

I think that if a dog is very sick and in no way ever able to recover and live comfortably again, that it's the right choice. I did this for my little rescue dog when his kidneys failed. The vet offered to flush them out and he might get a couple more months, but he had sustained likely brain damage already and might not have been all too comfortable. I wanted to keep him with me, but I did not want him to suffer. It was a hard choice to make, but I couldn't bare to see him suffer.

There comes a point when it becomes a quality of life issue for the animal.
It's a painful choice to make, but sometimes, it's also the most merciful.
Best to you.

I would say this for animals and humans. If they say it is a sin to take away the mechanicals means from which a life can be supported, isn't it a sin and torture too to keep delaying the passing of a living being when the body says "No more"

Of course. It is too bad that we don't treat people who are deathly ill with that option.... I'd sure plan on the "Final Exit" if I were never going to get better, in pain, only going to get worse, being chewed up with cancer, pooping all over everything, unconscious, yadayadayada.... life is to enjoy. When one has bargained down to nothingness, one should have an option.... when my dog Robyn can no longer have fun being a dog, of course I will have her put down. Until then, I will make her life as rich and rewarding with love and kindness as she diserves.....I will not let her suffer horrid pain to die. I will not prolong her dying process.....Answer your question?

Yes I think it's a good idea. If there is nothing more you can do and the animal is suffering to release them from that is one of the greatest acts of love there is

I think its the right choice if you dog is goin to be in pain and suffer. Its better to put them out of thier missery than to let them live on in pain. Its a hard decision but its better than making them suffer

I answered a question like this before on here...yes I think it is a good idea if the dog has cancer and no hope of recovery, old and very arthritic, things like that. We put my beautiful golden retriever down because he was full of cancer and suffering.
