I have an 8-month old male chihuahua. When you look at him square in the face, his eyes appear to be a greenish/yellow. But in certain angles his eyes appear to be very red -- in color, not like blood-shot eyes. He looks like a devil dog! He has white fur and when he gets tired the skin around his eyes, nose and mouth becomes very pink. He's not an albino dog, is he??

Most dogs and cats will have a red glare from their eyes when caught in a certain light. It's perfectly normal. My cocker spaniel has glared red several times, especially in pictures. Nothing to worry about. No albino or devil dog.

I have four chihuahhua's , (1 red & 3 blondes all smooth coats and have seen some of this color online while searching for a black haired & blue eyed female,) but the question is what is the color of his paws, his belly? Is his fur & SKIN completely white? If so then he is an albino...be very careful with him in the sun...these ones are very easily able to get skin cancer & other types of serious diseases due to their light skin & fur tones. Any other questions about it please consult your vet as you will need to take precautions if you plan on spending alot of time with him outdoors..good luck! Just google & see what you can find in pics online of these little chihuahua's. But then again...all animals eyes can "look red" from certain angles when the light hits it..even my Umbrella Cockatoos eyes get that red flash...especially when we take pics of our dogs & bird

convinced, cherry eye is a prolapse of the gland contained in the third eye lid, it protrudes contained in the nook of the eyes appears like a cherry pit. The dogs needs to have surgical operation to eliminate the eyelid as it truly is disfiguring challenge even if no longer painful.
