"Dogs Welcome"
A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation.
He wrote:
"I would very much like to bring my dog with me.
He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote:
"I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly.
And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill. Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel.
And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

You know that has probably more truth to it than you will ever know.
We take our dogs everywhere, when we are on vacation, they stay in the rooms with us and they never cause a problem.
They are the most loving and loyal creatures I know....

Great story! My parents were visiting me in Northern California several years ago and brought their very well-mannered German Shepherd. After they left for their drive home to southern California, their car broke down outside a small town 3 hours away from my home. The car was going to be in a repair shop over nite. There were 2 motels and one had a no vacancy sign and the other a vacancy. The motel with the vacancy refused to allow my parents to bring their dog into the room regardless that they offered to pay any size deposit required by the management. They could not leave the dog and didn't know what to do, but they were unable to take the room without their dog. When they left the motel office, they noticed the other motel's no vacancy sign no longer said NO. They were able to secure a room in that motel with their dog. Hmmmmm...

That was great! LOL.
How true, I just got divorced from an abusive husband
And adopted a female abused dog.
So we've decided no men who will
sleep with another dog when the need arises
go to the Elk's Lodge every night
not help sheperd the kids around (shes a border collie-aust shep mix)
tell us what bi's we are
threaten us
abuse us
and call us names.
So yeah, she's much better.
:}
and more loyal
and good with the kids!!!
Oh, and what better companion to have and someone to heal with.

Thank you for sharing.
On the back of my truck I've got a sticker that says "The more people I meet the more I like my dog"
For anyone who is having trouble finding motels that will take your dog:
Motel 6 is the only national chain that I've found that still takes dogs without an extra charge. -Why I stay there.

How true, I have four dogs, and they are my best friends, so loyal and love you unconditionally. If only people were like our canine companions, life would be a lot sweeter.
Thank-you in a weird way, your tale has made me smile and probably the best thing I have read for along time.
And yes, I probably need to get out more!!!

That is funny! I like that... Actually I am getting ready to go on a trip to Florida, to and I want to bring my Labrador along, but we are flying! I don't know if it will be to cold for her to fly... And I'm not sure if the place that we are staying at will allow her to stay too. Humm... It kinda fits along with my dilima
