from the web:
>>>>>Hepatitis
Q: Mike is it possible for the family pet to contract Hepatitis C or B from an infectious member of the family (human) after contact with their bodily fluids or excrement. thanks
A: I checked two textbooks that I think are good references and there is no mention of any possibility of contagiousness of Hepatitis C or B from humans to dogs. I also checked an online database -- and was reminded that monkeys can harbor hepatitis B-- but no mention of dogs. I can't say for certain it doesn't occur based on this but it seems pretty unlikely.

I think that Hep C is species specific (Only other humans can get it) same with what most dogs have such as.. we cannot contract Kennel cough from a dog. You can call and ask your vet but that is what I know.

Yes, your dog has a chance of having had contracted it. Any amount of infected bodily fluid transfer can infect the dog, though it may be neglible since you said it was a small amount.
I would get your dog tested (if they do it) but if she is infected there is no cure. Only possible treatment for prolonging good quality of life.

why did the Hep C person let her do that? what an @sshole. that person is not your friend.
yes, many blood disorders are easy to pass to other mammals. even if Hep C cant cross, why did that person take that risk with your dog. ask a vet

I believe the digestive enzymes in your dogs saliva and certainly in the stomach would kill the nasty hep-c virus beasties.
