Actually, I have two big dogs (German Short Haired Pointers) who are around 60 pounds each that I dress in these cute red hoodie sweatshirts that I got from http://www.dog.com. Not only are they cute, but they are functional, they help keep them warm while they are running and playing outside during winter in Michigan. I think that if you want to dress up your dog, go ahead and do it!

I have a chihuahua/fox terrier mix, and he can't stand wearing clothes. Sometimes it's really cold outside though, so I put a little jacket on him anyways so he won't get sick. My other dog, a lab/border collie mix, loves to wear a clown costume to go trick-or-treating with my little sister. So I guess some dogs don't mind sweaters and other clothes as much..

Whatever the dog wants should rule over whatever you think looks cute on him or her, in my opinion. If the sweater is making the dog uncomfortable, don't force 'er to wear it.

once you've a situation with the idea-about your canines in a sweater what are you going to imagine about having to strategies to knit or stitch to get a sweater that a Dachshund formed canines received't walk out of in many circumstances? because that's no longer fairly a Dachshund and under no circumstances fairly a Chihuahua you received't be able to locate any off the rack that fit.

Well I'm for & against it.
For it because they do look cute & some dogs need the sweaters to keep warm in the winter.
Against it because sometimes people over do dressing them up.
I guess if u like the look do it if not don't!!

I live in Maine and own a mini dachshund and if I didn't put a sweater on her in the winter she would freeze, she gets cold so easy. And I know some dogs like dressing up just like we do. If they like it then do it. And I also think they look so cute in clothes :)

I think its a good idea personally. I have a tiny toy poodle. Weighing in at 3.5lbs full grown. Small dogs tend to get cold very easily. Some people think it is stupid to dress the little dogs but I would rather people think I am stupid for dressing my poodle than my little girl getting to cold and getting sick. Also, dogs love it. Because they love the attention you give to them when dressing them. And, they are so cute in different outfits. My poodle loves it so I also dress her in little thin t-shirts in the summers. Have fun!!!

I live in Minnesota and it is vital if you take your dog out to put a sweater on it or it would get cold way too fast....but it would not be good at all in summer or warmer climates

I believe this practise should be done only when needed. Its not natural for dogs to be wearing 'clothes' all the time

If the dog does not mind then its cool. But if you have to make the dog go into is not so cool.
But it can be cute
