I have a one year old black lab that I have raised from a puppy. He always had a very good personality and in my opinion was the passive one between my two dogs. I never encouraged him to be aggressive and never abused him. In all he was in a very happy, loving home. Within the past week he bit 3 different people, all three very different incidents. We had to surrender him to the humane society rather than risk another bite or lawsuit. Why the sudden aggression? What makes a dog turn?

My situation is that I live in a no-where town *yay Lake Butler...* and I've decided that I don't want to settle on a beagle *which is the only non-pitbull breed that I have found* when what I really want is what I consider the ultimate froo froo dog, a papillon. There doesn't seem to be any breeders in the state of Florida, and going out of state isn't cool and the only breeders I've found *none of which are even in a neighboring state* are way high-priced because they're breeding chanpion stock. I don't need a show quality dog, and that seems to be all there is availible and I'm not about to pay $1,500 for a dog, or really any animal for that matter. So here I come to Next Day Pets, and I did a search here on it and found that appariantly it is the devil. But for a broke *** teenager, it's really my only option. Please, someone tell me it's possible to have a good experience with that site, because there's this puppy I've inquired about and I want to know it'll be okay.

My chihuahua pup seems to spend an awful lot of time licking her butthole, and I don't know why. Does she have a problem with her anus, or does she simply like the smell/taste? According to the symptoms I have looked up, she does not have worms.

i found my chihuahua 7 years ago. she is the absolute LOVE OF MY LIFE. i love her so much that i wanted her to have puppies so that i can keep one from her bloodline when she dies (i know they live average 15 years so it wouldn't be for a while). but i went to the vet last year and he said after 7 years, it's too risky, but i was going to england to study the next summer and i read chi's were needy during their pregnancy, so i figured she couldn't have puppies. however, when i came back from england this summer, she was pregnant! she had 3 beautiful puppies and now i have to sell them. the problem is, i want my brother to have the girl so she can have a litter after 3-4 years so i can keep one. the other two dogs are boys, but i'm in love with one of the boy dogs. the problem is having a male dog would mean it's harder to find someone that will mate and produce a litter because it's their female dog.
i love the boy dog, but i know it's better to keep the female.

I'm worried that the pit bull will hurt or even kill my rat terrier when he gets older. My rat is a female, fixed, and the pit is a male 6 wks that we are going to have fixed. Since the pit is going to grow up around the rat terrier, will it still show signs of aggression? My terrier is slightly aggressive...and is protective of me. This is my boyfriends dog though, who is going to use it as a running buddy. I'm totally freaked at the thought of the pit killing my terrier. Oh and we live in a one bedroom apartment, but the pit will get tons of exercise. Should I be concerned?

My 10 year old Golden Retreiver has had an ear infection for weeks now. The drops that the vet gave me seem to do nothing, the vet also said to try rubbing alcohol, but the condition is worsening. She constantly shakes her head and whines when I touch her ears or head. I have to clean thick smelly blackish goo out of both ears every day. What is this in her ear and how do I get rid of it?
