Why not just clean it up? I wouldn't suggest having your dog lick up all the food your toddler drops/throws on the floor, otherwise you'll end up with an overweight dog.

Just clean the mess up, its not good for the dog so I say dont let him eat it. A dog is a dog... not a vacuum or a wash rag

Geez! Well, I suppose if he don't want it, then there's not much you can do. If you use hamburger in your spaghetti sauce, it looks like he would be interested. But then again, would YOU lick spaghetti off the floor? haha!!! You have a smart dog.

start by putting it in his bowl and calling him to eat. Then have him start getting it out of your hand when you pick it up. Its great that he doesn't eat off the floor automatically, you've done a good job training......now you need to train him to eat off the floor.

hand feed him some and let him learn to liek the taste then when she drops some put some in your hand show the dog then slowly lead him to the floor wiht the piece in your hand.
