Does anyone know how to get into competetive agility training in Canada. How do you register into competitions? What regualtions are there, etc.

Thanks

Depends on what province you are in.

Go to aac.ca for the agility association of canada. Go to nadac.com for the North America dog agility club. And there is AKC.com as well if you have a pure bred dog.

I'm in the US, but what I did was locate our local Agility Club. I asked for suggestions of trainers to get us in the direction of Agility and they were very helpful and informative in getting me in the right direction. The biggest thing is to have a very solid obedience training. My Border Collie is 5 months old, and since we can't officially do Agility training until she's a year (not good for growing pups to jump higher than their elbows until 12-15 months), we are currently working to get her obedience fine tuned in preparation.

Finding a club in your area is a great resource for getting into this! Good luck getting ino the sport! It looks like so much fun and I can't wait to get to traning for it!
