What happen to the lab? did you find it a good home or did you take it to the shelter to be destroyed?

If you didn't find it a home, then you shouldn't get anymore pets. Two dogs are plenty-- and if you have a big garden- you might want a cat.

If you're moving to a bigger house, why not go with another Lab? They are wonderful dogs as I'm sure you know. Feamles are smaller than males so if you're looking smaller, go that way. I know the mother of my puppy's litter was medium sized at full grown as was her daughter from her previous litter than the owner had kept. Not all get really big.

I agree labs are great. But if u are looking for medium size, i think that Puggles are cute! they are a pug and beagle cross. Also, Cairn Terriers, and OH! The Schipperke is soooo beautiful! http://www.pedigree.com.au/breeds/ go here and they tell u all about the dogs personality and special cares! Good luck!

Please don't buy a "puggle" as one poster reccommended. All a "puggle" does is ruin two perfectly good breeds of dog, and allows the person selling them to charge you upwards of $1000 for them! We have a husky and a Beagle and I can highly recommend a Beagle as a mid-sized dog.

Do your research though! Animal Planet have a GREAT breed selector, one of the best I have ever seen on the net.

The address is:

Good luck!

It depends on which type of dog you want.Ask the person working in the pet shop whether which type of dog suit the type of dog you want.(Example:Cute\Chubbish\and so on)

your pets should fit into your lifestyle, and not the other way around.
