The same thing happened to me years ago and the truth is you will be sad for quite awhile but the old saying is true "In time the pain will lesson". Then maybe you'll think about getting another pet to fill the empty place in your life, not replace the space in your heart you had for your sweet dog. I got another dog that looked exactly like the one I lost but they couldn't have been more different. I am very sorry for what your going through. You are in my prayers tonight. :)

Hi Roxie! I'm so sorry for your loss and I know it must be awful to find your Baby in the storm drain like you did. But you can make a diary with all the good things your Baby left you with (like running and playing or being there for you when you were upset and down). Nonetheless you gave her all the Love she needed and she'll be waiting for you on the other side on Rainbow Bridge. God Bless you and may your hurt go away!! Merry Christmas Mija!

Im so sorry about your dog, we all know that person will have bad karma the rest of their life. My dogs are my kids, so I do not agree with the response about the people dying in africa that someone sent. your dog is just important as any human to you and you should let yourself have the emotions for her. The pain seems overwhelming now, but it will slowly fade and years from now you will hopefully remember the good and not the bad. all dogs go to heaven so that is where she is. Why do you think dog spelled backwards is God.........

Hey, hang in there. i know how u feel, i've lost 2 dogs this year..it's a painful thing to go through i know. but u have got to realize that it was not your fault and these things happen. you just have to remember that dogs go to heaven too, and she is up there waiting for you (as lame as this probably sounds, i truly believe this)..dogs are hard to look after sometimes, and it was not your fault at all.......it was an accident.

have u ever heard of that poem called, "Rainbow Bridge?". go to : http://www.wikipedia.com and type in "rainbow bridge"....it is such a healing poem and it should make you feel so much better!!

remember that it is NOT your fault.

I lost my cat Nena, which is like a baby to me. I brought her to Colorado from Georgia, she was nearly dead from malnutrition, fleas, ear mites, and more. After being back home here in Co. for two years,(and after about $500. in vet fees!), she got out of the house. I found her not long after, underneath a mobile home in a nearby trailer park, but she would never come to me. I tried many ways to get her back day after day, until one day she dissapeared completely and I never saw her again. Everyday since, I've thought of her and how I lost her, I even blamed myself for about four to six months after that, but slowly, the pain is dissapearing! : - (

I'm so sorry to hear that. I would too be devastated. Mourn your dog and remember the good times and memories with her. You will get through it. I wish the best for you.

i'm so sorry you had to see her like that. you will always remember her but later you will be able to remember the better times instead of her death. just allow yourself time to greave. another life will find you when you are ready and she wil want you to love another someday. not now though. again i know how you feel i lost one right infront of me and i can still see it happen in slow motion. but now i can remember how fun she was .

Hi,

Just think of the 50 million little African children all the way in the land of the lions and elephants.. who are starving to death right now.. right this minute..

then you'll get over your little dead poodle quickly..
