I have a 4 1/2 month old bichon/yorkie mix and a 3 1/2 month old maltese/yorkie mix. I am having a terrible time with the housebreaking. They are practically living in a crate, except for the time out to eat, drink, and eliminate.I will take them out and they will pee then come into the house and pee within 5 minutes. Yes, I keep them out long enough and they usually squat at least twice. I give them such praises when they do go, I am sure the neighbors think I am crazy. If they do what they are supposed to do, I make sure they have play time and give them lots of attention. If not, it is back in crate for another 1/2 hr. I thought we were getting somewhere when I had 2 days with no accidents, but today it has been accidents all day long!!! I spend more time outside than I do in. They have been vet checked, so no physical problems. I cant understand why one minute the puppy will go to kitchen and look at door (like he is getting it) and the next time he will just squat on floor and go

I purchased what I thought was a 3 pound at most, stud quality male. From WWW.YORKIEBABIEDOLLS.COM from Don Montgomery.
What I received at the air port was a 3 pound starved pup, ridden with coccidia, a second row of teeth, and definitely not of breeding quality. He is now a 6 pounder with a terrible coat and huge ears. But it gets worse, 2 months later he starts limping on his back leg. He was diagnosed with leg-calf Perthes disease and required a $1500 dollar surgery. This disease is inherited from this parents or someone in his parents line, I told Don about this yet he still breeds both the parents EVERY SINGLE HEAT!!! He has way to many females and I know now that he is running a puppymill. Don offers a health guarantee but he does not stand by it at all. I am just devastated that I did not do my research on THE BREEDER before I purchased. Don does all his business through the internet, so please spread the word on his horrible puppymill and hopefully we can put him out of business.
P.S. Fabio had his surgery and is recovering great!

Today while at the ER w/ my father I was on my lap top and the docs and nurses and I were looking at questions and answers and getting a good laugh from the "could I be pregant" questions when I decided to show them an answer I got yesterday from "gitemgang". So we started to read his other replies and It got us thinking what could possible promt someone to behave this way. So I thought I would ask everyone on this site as this is the area he most answers. We have surmised from his answers that he is a groomer but here is what we are wondering...Is he bitter because A. He is 40 bald and living w/ his mother ? B. confussed about his sexuality? or C. A man suffering from :little mans syndrome? What is your take. This is serious we really want to know. And by the way dad is doing ok he had a mild heart attack but was also entertained by this. Thanks.

When playing with my maltese puppy, she gets a bit aggressive and chomps and chews on me and my husband. She even tries to thrash us around like she's really attacking us and growls, too! She does this every time we play with her. Should we accept this as normal puppy behavior and will she grow out of it? Or is this something that needs to be addressed and corrected - even if she is still a puppy.

Another thing I don't like is when I'm lying in bed and she starts off being cute and licking my face...and out of nowhere, lunging at me and biting my face. My husband is being way too lenient with her, I think... am I being unreasonable?

My male black lab has been mopey for the past 2 days. I thought at first he was mopey because I had reprimanded him for getting loose and running around (which was my fault ultimately) but anyway...but today he was still mopey and I was petting and loving him when I noticed he's got a distended belly. I wouldn't say it's "extremely distended, but it's noticeable..I have an appointment with the vet but not till tomorrow at 4pm. I'm worried he might have a blockage. Has anyone had this happen?..what could it be? Any vets reading this? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Again...we ARE going to the vet.

My chinese shar-pei, chloe, got ran over yesterday and i'm having a hard time getting over it. I feel like i lost one of my kids. Anyone felt like this before? What are some ways to get over it? Plus, my husband is trying to make me feel better by saying he will get me a yorkie like i've always wanted but i really am not ready for one yet.

I have 3 puppies. One of them is mine, shes black and white, clam, cute, the runt, patient, and intellegent. Im thinking of naming her Mocha, it just fits. Do you like it?

the other 2 i get to name, but their not mine. theres a brown and white one, shes like a rebel puppy, she hates my brother and she loves me, shes cute, the fluffiest, sometimes a klutz, impatient, and rough...Then theres a white and black spotted one. Shes cute, sassy, loves everyone, likes to eat my slippers, she licks the heck outta my face and, yeah......

any ideas?

how can i try to help him not be so scared of so many things. hes scared of hangers cause they make some noise when they drop, hes scared of the vaccum, plastic bags, cardboard boxes, and so much other things. i found him about 2 months ago in front of our house. he was VERY skinny, and i think he was probly abused with his former owners. he's also scared of males (which is another hint why i think he was abused by a male), he doesnt EVER bark unless i leave the house(but not all the time), he did bark @ my Grandpa too. can u give me some suggestions on how he can stop being so scared??

My neighbors chihuahua mix keeps turning her head so far to the left that she makes herself flip over. She keeps doing it over and over. She doesnt cry when you touch her. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Could it be a ear ache?

I want a small lap dog. A toy poodle, Yorkie or something like a Maltese. Also would be great if someone can take a credit card. If so I can spend more on one. I don't want to have one shipped. I want to see what I'm buying in person.
