I purchased what I thought was a 3 pound at most, stud quality male. From WWW.YORKIEBABIEDOLLS.COM from Don Montgomery.
What I received at the air port was a 3 pound starved pup, ridden with coccidia, a second row of teeth, and definitely not of breeding quality. He is now a 6 pounder with a terrible coat and huge ears. But it gets worse, 2 months later he starts limping on his back leg. He was diagnosed with leg-calf Perthes disease and required a $1500 dollar surgery. This disease is inherited from this parents or someone in his parents line, I told Don about this yet he still breeds both the parents EVERY SINGLE HEAT!!! He has way to many females and I know now that he is running a puppymill. Don offers a health guarantee but he does not stand by it at all. I am just devastated that I did not do my research on THE BREEDER before I purchased. Don does all his business through the internet, so please spread the word on his horrible puppymill and hopefully we can put him out of business.
P.S. Fabio had his surgery and is recovering great!

This is a horrible story and I feel so bad for your puppy.

This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of why buying a pet from the internet is a HORRIBLE decision. Unless you and the breeder have literally months of interviews, confeversations, and iron clad health guarantee, etc.

I really hope your puppy is still loved and adored as he would have been had he been your ideal 3lb stud. It's not the dog's fault the breeder is corrupt or his lineage is clouded with faults. He's just a product of a mill. Poor baby.

God bless!

I am sorry that Fabio had so many problems, but glad he is now doing well. This is why people should not buy over the internet. You have no way of knowing what you are getting. The internet Breeders want their buyers to be out of state so that it would be almost impossible to file and win a lawsuit against them. With all the vet bills you have had, it would probably be worth it for you to pursue the case in court. At least maybe you could recoup some of your losses. I hope Fabio continues to do well.

Customer Trying to Pull a Scam!!!
This customer Jessica Avalos is trying to get a free puppy. It is not uncommon for puppies to have extra teeth when they are young. I also gave her a $250 refund because of the second row of teeth and she said she was very happy with Fabio. Jessica says Fabio was diagnosed with Legg Perthes Disease 2 months later yet she emailed me 9 weeks after receiving her puppy and only said he had Coccidia, she did not let me know anything was wrong with her puppy (Fabio) until after having him for 10 months ( why didn't she notify me when she had him only 2 month since she bought him for a breeder, and I have not bred either adult parents since she told me of his diagnoses & she said she wanted a $1300.00 refund because the surgery was $1000.00 and wanted to keep Fabio instead of the full refund because she wanted to keep him and I agreed. Now she is telling lies saying the surgery was $1500.00.I standing by the health guarantee which she decided not to follow. The Coccidia took place 9 weeks after she received him and after plumping him up with nutri-cal. If the puppy had Coccidia when he arrived she would have known immediately because of the foul odor & her vet would have know also on 12/30/05 when she said she was going to take him to the vets because he had diarrhea, which was from giving him to much nutra-cal . I have been breeding Yorkies for 4 1/2 years and Jessica Avalos is my FIRST unsatisfied customer.

NEVER buy from a breeder you didnt check out in person.. and had positive references about..
NEVER deal with any one who will not allow you to come see the pups...(and you should also be able to see both parents or at least mom)

he is a puppy mill for sure... call and report him
posting here is great but some idiots will take the info and probably buy form him even though you said what he is...report him report him and get him shut down for real

I don't want to rub salt in the wound here but I would never, ever buy a puppy without first seeing and playing with it. I would insist on seeing the parent or at the very least the dam if the stud is not on the property.
Wow that's a tough lesson to learn!!!
Good luck with your boy!

Hopefully you can sue them and then run them out of buisness. That is terrible that they would do that to such precious dogs. I would definately have a talk with the owner and see where it goes from there. If he says it is your fault, go to the police. No one has the right to produce such hypocricy (if that is the right word). I will do all I can to help spread the word and good luck!
P.S. Fabio is a cute name for a little dog!

My family actually flew over to South Korea to get our Yorkies.. Onnly 500 dollars! When we brought them to america, a grooming shop that had a pet shop attached offered to pay 3000 dollars. Anyways, I've been to the site before and I never thought such cruelty could occur. I advise you to call a humane society and hire a lawyer. Take good care of Fabio & NEVER lose hope...

You can also file a lawsuit in your state and then file the judgement in his state to recover your funds. At the very least make him cover the expenses of you taking care of this poor puppy. I would also file a complaint with his local animal protection society such as the SPCA and with the state attorney. If he is truly running a puppy mill they may need your info to shut him down.
