Why does my 1 yr old pomeranian have curly ends on certain parts of his fur?

i have tooken her to the vet and have gotten medication. i have been feeding the res of the puppies NUTRO. what can i feed the female to gain some fat and weight on here . she is skin and bones. no ignorant answers please. to many of those. it shows who the ignorant people are!

I offered to dog sit for friends who are moving and are inbetween houses so they have no where to keep their dog. He was at the boyfriend's sister's house but they left him tied to a tree outside in the back yard. (I am in Phoenix and today was 118). The dog is a shepard mix with medium to long length fur. Well when they brought the dog over here he was infested with ticks. I have him in the bathroom because I dont want them in the house or him passing them to my dogs or cat. Well I cant leave him outside its too hot and it gets too hot in this particular bathroom so I need to find a way with either some sort of liquid or something that doesnt cost a whole lot to get rid of these ticks. I dont have the time to sit and pull them out one by one. My intentions were to shave him and then bathe with whatever. I dont have a lot of money so I cant buy a dip from the vet for 30 bucks and I cant take him to the groomer for 60. Any ideas out there?

seriously. when the dog goes potty inside when you are gone and you come home. I think my dog does i don't get on to her I will just pick it up. but every single time she has ever made an accident in the house(not that often) and i come home the only way i know she did anything is becuase she is shaking really really bad and crying, i don't even notice it untill i see her do that. it don't happen to often and a question made me think of it. do you think they know they have done something bad? your opinion

I have a 4 year old male terrier/chawawa mix. He is house-trained and has a clean check-up at the vets. However, from time to time, he will pee or poop inside our house. Not very often, like I said... from time to time, periodically. I think he knows he's been bad too, he acts like he does, and we make it clear he's been bad.

What else can we do and why would he do this?

He shakes uncontrolabley in fear and if just really freaked out. when it rains and thumders he does that and on tv when theres like a tinkerbell fairy dinking thing sound he gets really freaked out also the ding when you get a im in yahoo. any ideas what we should do or what might treat it or what causes it?? thanks !!

I'm sick of using the plastic bag trick for cleaning up dog poop in the backyard, but am too cheap to shell out $35 for the 2 aluminum sheets stapled to wooden dowels that the pet store calls a pooper scooper. It is just poop--I don't need anything with a diamond-encrusted handle, just a simple shovel device that is cost-effective. Without buying aluminum and dowels myself, has anyone contrived a cheap alternative to the scandalous pet store scoops?

I have a 13 week old cockapoo and he HATES his crate and is hesitant to even go near it. Every time we put him in it he fights and whines when we leave. But when other people (other then me or my gf) put him in it he stays in it without a fight and never whines. How is the best way to get him used to it? How long does it usually take to train a puppy to learn his name, and basic commands?
