recently my dane/mastiff Wicket was hit by a car and we believe she broke or fractured her pelvic bone. we've been caring for her ourselves as best we can making sure to give her antibiotics in case of infection. but recently she developed a fever, her stool was already runny but it turned liquid and she vomited after we gave her her last pain medication. i am very concerned for her she is like my first kid, but i am a new mother with a one month of baby and i'm out of work surviving off my husbands income i can't afford what the vet is asking to take proper care of her and i'm afraid i am going to loose her, can anyone help me? is there some kind of charity for wounded and sick animals??

I've asked repeatedly for her to quiet her dog but he's still out there super early barking away, The dog warden does nothing!! Should I just get an airhorn and keep blowing it until she shuts that dog up?

We live in an aparment and have a 16month od daughter. we are looking for a dog that is fairly small, short haired, good with kids, and mild-mannered. Is a beagle a good dog? any other suggestions?

I have a shepard/lab mix. He is the sweetest boy but he isnt very bright :) I took him out this morning and he ate some grass and barfed. I glanced over at it. Looked like brown spagetti. Later in the day I go to take him out again and I see he has barfed again. More of the same. I go looking and find he has eaten an entire spagetti mop head!

i have recently taken on the challenge of opening a business. i named it Paw Pals Pet Care, and i offer dog grooming services and house/pet sitting services. i was not too thrilled with the name i came up with to begin with, and now i am also looking into offering dog services (i.e. dog walking, delivery of pet necessities), so i'm interested in changing my business' name. the best thing i've come up with so far is "the paw shop", but i'm open for suggesting.

Given some recent difficulties with critters (bats in my house), my vet would like to move up the date in which my puppy gets her rabies vaccine. Normally she said she'd do it at 16 weeks, but now she wants to give it to her at 12 weeks. She's 11 weeks old now. Are there any negative consequences to doing this? What are the downsides? Could this potentially hurt her or mess with her development (physically and psychologically) at all? I hope not! :) THanks for any help with this question.

Okay, my 5 year old boxer lab just started to walk with a limp in his back leg. Is it artheritis? Isn't he to young for that? I called the vet to ask if it was safe to give him advil or something. and of course they tell you to buy their stuff. We moved out of a big house into a medium sized appartment so he lays down a lot more. And after he walks around for about 2 minutes his leg is fine. But im still worried about it, and at the moment money is tight. Is there anything i can give him to ease the pain?

I know that alot of dogs do this. I've taken mine to the vet and they gave me this stuff to sprinkle over his food to make it taste aweful and he still does it. Today I fed him really good and afterwards he pooped and I saw him with a turd in his mouth and I screamed (BANDIT) and he knew he was doing wrong and he immediately spit it out and ran and put himself in his crate. Is this a hopeless case. I have never seen that guy on animal planet talk about this. You know the dog whisper guy?
