It sounds like he's having problems with crate training too. Dogs need to associate the things we want them to do with good things like attention and treats. When you put him in the crate, give him a treat and praise him for being there. But don't take pity on him when he whines and cries and let him out . . . He'll learn that making a fuss gives him what he wants, out of the box. Also, like an earlier answerer said, take him for walks more often and praise him and give a little treat for going outside. If you watch your dog when he is loose in your house you can usually tell when he need to go because he will start sniffing around, take him outside when he starts this as well, if he goes, praise and treats (seeing a trend here? Dogs need repetition to learn). Generally, if you catch him in the act, you can startle him into stopping by saying "NO!" firmly and loudly, then outside again. I hope this helps.

If you ignore the whining he will eventually love his crate and go there on his own. It just takes patience. The thing with crate training is to leave him in there only when you're not playing with him while he's training. After he eats and drinks take him outside or to the pad, whichever one you're using, and don't bring him back in until he goes. If he won't go, put him back in the kennel for another 30 minutes. Yelling, hitting or rubbing his face in it will make him hide under something to go hence nasty curtains and mystery smells. Give him a treat or a good boy everytime he goes outside and a firm no the second he goes in the house.

If that is anything new, then I might propose he has a scientific quandary, so much as usually with that, you'll now not uncover him poohing AND peeing. Usually only one or the opposite. So I'd propose that except outside situations have transformed - new residence, new men and women round and many others.and many others., he is honestly now not fairly as apartment-knowledgeable as you concept. So again to dog one, or no less than getting up and taking him out each and every three hours, often. If a puppy is aware of he'll be ready to move external to drain and often, he's going to traditionally keep. If he does not realize while he is subsequent going to be ready to move out, he's going to simply pass. I had to return to operating an entire day three days every week for a at the same time, leaving our lot for nine hours. I set the apartment as much as permit for them to move, in an extension subject, however for fairly a while after I was once ready to quit operating once more, if we went out of a night, we might come again to a large number in which they would all been secure earlier than. This was once merely considering they bought into the dependancy of now not identified while I'd be again, so they simply went. Shut the bed room door while you're now not in there. Confine him to places that do not subject as so much if he has a mistake, however in particular, take him out, often, so he shouldn't have any ought to be messing interior. And get his wellness checked!!

OK. u gotta put him in the crate if he doesn't like it u gotta teach ur dog it's a good place by making it fun! DON'T give ur dog alot of freedom. let ur dog have half of the kitchen and then the whole kitchen and if he has gotton no accident u could move it to the the living room and so on! but as u do this always watch ur dog if ur dog has to do his business u take it and praise him but never let it do it in the house. if u catch ur dog don't hit him just simply say no in a ferm voice if u hit him he'll get scared and end up pooping under the table were u can't see it!! if u see poop on the floor and weren't there when he did it there's nothing u could do but pick it up. he'll learn fast u just gotta make sure he hasn't have a chance to poop in the house!!!

(1)Is he crate trained? That is the easiest way to housetrain a dog. They do not like to defecate where they lay.(2) Keep him confined to one room(without carpeting-they associate it with grass) if you cannot watch him every second. (3) If you are home, put his leash on him and tie it to you so you can watch him every second and take him out immediately if he starts to have an accident (4)Take him out IMMEDIATELY after eating and to the same spot so he knows that's where he is supposed to go. Keep him on a leash so he knows he is there to do his business, not wander around. If he does not go in a reasonable amount of time, take him in and then go out again in a few minutes. When he does go, praise him tons and give him a treat immediately. Soon he will associate going potty outside with a positive experience. (5) Watch him for signs he has to go out, like circling and sniffing. (6) If he does have an accident, clean it up with a product that does not contain ammonia. If you do not get rid of the scent entirely, he will continue to go potty there. Please do not rub his face in his mess if he has an accident-it only traumatizes him, it does not help at all.

you must be tough with your dog so far it has trained you not the other way around
crate the dog at night and if it whines or cries - too bad - ignore it - otherwise you will train the dog to whine and cry for attention...

remove food 4 hours before bed time and water 2 hours before bed time - first thing in am go out to pee (you MUST go out with the dog and offer a soft reward INSTANTLY when he pees ) inside to eat then out agian to run and poop - most dogs poop after eating and excercise stimulates the bowels...

durring the day watch the dog and if he circles and sniffs the ground he is getting ready to pee or poop - you need to go out again...

Walk the dog more often and really praise it when it does its numbers outside. Even give a small treat as a reward.

crate him whenever you aren't right there to watch him but make sure the crate is just big enough that he can stand up and turn around. If it's too big he'll go in it and that defeats the purpose of it.
