seriously. when the dog goes potty inside when you are gone and you come home. I think my dog does i don't get on to her I will just pick it up. but every single time she has ever made an accident in the house(not that often) and i come home the only way i know she did anything is becuase she is shaking really really bad and crying, i don't even notice it untill i see her do that. it don't happen to often and a question made me think of it. do you think they know they have done something bad? your opinion

honestly she is a baby she cries and shakes. and she only does it if i'm gone for way to long and she can't hold it

It is said that dogs don't but I know that when I come home and my dogs have an accident the dog that did it usually hides from me until I clean it. Once it's clean then he/she comes out. Therefore, I do feel that they know they did something that shouldn't have been done. I don't say anything to them I just take care of it and go into my normal routen.

Oh yes when a dog knows it is not supposed to have and accident in the house and it happens they know full well that they are not supposed to. They may not cry and shake but they will look sheepish and perhaps not want to follow you to where it happened.

I think they have an idea that what they did was "wrong" and they didn't want to do it but had to. When a dog does something "wrong" you can't punish them for it because they don't associate the punishment with the act. They only will learn to become afraid of you. That's why we use only positive reinforcement.
