There are many kinds of mange. The most common is Demodectic mange. Not contagious to people or other pets. It is an immune mediated disease that is hereditary from the mother. It causes the mite to over grow in the hair follicle and the dog loses hair. It must be treated BY A VET. This mite is found normally on all dogs but when the dog has a lowered immune system, it takes over and over grows. NEVER breed a dog that carries this gene b/c the puppies will have it too.

mange is caused by the infestation of almost invisible mites.
they spread fast on the skin and transfer to other animals quite easily.
any animal with mange needs the medication only found at vet offices.
left unchecked it can eventually kill the animal but not before causing him some serious agony.

Mange is the same parasite that causes scabies in humans. It is a very small worm that lives in the skin, eats surrounding flesh and caused skin to itch and hair to fall out.

I think that Mange got on your brain based on the answer you left to my question. If you're not as hot as Cassie, don't come around. Shaving is a start, but you have tons to prove.
