OK...I got a new cat who is 4. I put her in the bathroom again last night . When I went in to check on her there was a small sac-like (about the size of a quarter) that appeared to be covered in mucus on the floor. There appeared to be a piece of spaghetti (probably a worm) and a little bit of red. Her records indicate that she was given a wormer on two occassions while at Petsmart - could this still be worms? Also, she was given Frontline at Petsmart, could she still have fleas? I am just nervous since I have another cat at home. Any thoughts?

He went down to the basement and crouched in the corner. Brought him back upstairs and now he seems fine but super tired. I;ve been away working the past couple months, he;s been well fed and watered by friends The last time I was home was two weeks ago and he was glad to see me. Today when I got home he curled up in my lap when I went through the mail and slept for an hour or so. Is he just stressed out or mad? Or is it a heart attack or stroke or something? He's meowing normally now, but still in sort of slow motion and crouching near me. Wondering what to do. Its Christmas morning and I live in a small town miles away from a vet ....if the would even be open...

Well my cat passed her due date, its almost a week now and I'm worried. She just started to wander of under my bed and in my parents room when everyong is not there. She already faced the symptoms of near labour weeks ago. She naps alot, she sleeps from 3-5 hours, wakes up for food and walks around a bit then sleeps again. Is it normal for he to pass her due date with a week? I was going to call the vet but my mom said she's fine. Please help.

how come when you pet a cat right above it's tail it kinda makes a squirmy movement that ripples across the whole body? is that a sensitive spot or something? they don't seem to mind me when I pet them there but it seems like as a reflex they do that... what is it?

today she had one, bout 6 months ago she had one, and i think about twice before that she had some spread out. poor kitty. first of all i was in my room and she was in the living room. suddenly i hear 2 screams from her. then i run to her where she was sleeping and she is digging her paws in the couch with her eyes closed and shaking. this happens for a minute. then she opens up her eyes just staring down at the couch for about a minute. i try to get her attention, she doesnt answer. then, she looks up and her pupils are huge!! she looked SO confused. she is also breathing VERY hard. poor thing. then for the next 10 mintues she is running around meowing constantly like she is lost.
so i was like, dad take her to the freakin vet. he's like its not too serious plus she doesnt have insurance. im like what the h?
i really need to talk about this please comment or IM me on aim pinkxxpokadot

My Cat has been to the Vet 3 times in the last 5 weeks, most recently tonite X-mas eve, all for being blocked up and not being able to urinate. Well finally, the vet told me that he would need a PU surgery. I was wondering what the expected cost would be? Any information or advice that I could use during this process. I have two others cats. This cat is about 4 years old and everyone is very concerned. Are there any major risks of death? Thanks in advance.

I have a cat, probably about 12+ years old. About three months ago, lost a bunch of weight, had breathing problems, and face swelled up very badly. Took him to vet, had infected tooth removed, and he seemed to get somewhat better. About a week ago, head started to swell again, but then started bleeding out of eye and nose, and breating very poorly, and peeing on bed >:( Took him back to vet, and they said was likely infection and to give him antibiotics, which I'm doing. My concern is that his breathing is VERY labored. I'm not all for killing a cat when it gets rough, but I don't want him to be in pain until he just up and dies. I know none of you can really diagnose without seeing him. Just looking for opinion. I'm planning on taking back to vet after Christmas.

I was made to understand that you have to get the cat neutered at a certain time so he doesn't become obese. When is this?
