No, she will not know what to do when having kittens as it is her first time. You need to Google for Cat Lamaze Centers in your area.
As for the male cat, first show him a couple instructional videos, then give him some magazines so he can "get warmed up" for your fluffy.

I hope this helps.

Her motherly instincts will kick in when she has the kittens, but make sure you are there just in case anything happens or if she needs help as a first time mother.unlike people cats arent picky about who they mate with so that shouldnt be a problem.I'm sorry to say this, but after she has her kittens, you should get her fixed.Atleast you can see her with her beautiful kittens, then get her fixed.Sorry,I know how adorable kittens are, especially when they came from your own cat that you value, but the more she continues to breed, the less her beauty.

I always find that a cat in heat and the male always act so much better after being taken out to sea in a boat and being allowed to swim back to shore after a 3 mile ride ~~

don't worry, its instinctive. but you may have to keep the male in your house for a few days to a week. i had to do that for a female of mine that i wanted to get kittens from. even though she was in heat she refused to mate with the male or have anything to do with him at first but eventually...well i guess you know what they are going to do. animals just do that...and they will know what to do when the time comes. all of my cats have been wonderful mothers even with the first litters and with her being 3 years old i'm sure she will too! good luck and happy holidays!

You don't get to choose what people can say what.
With the facts that 3 out of 5 kittens born living mserable lives or dying and with 100's of thousands of cats KILLED every year (They were kittens once) and with thousands of kittens behind bars right now or worse, I have every right to tell you how irresponsible and uncaring you are and to stop thinking about what you want and try thinking about reality and what is needed

Are you having them share the comparable muddle container? you're able to desire to have a container only for the 1st kitty and one for the hot 2 to share, in the event that they are friends. some human beings say you like one container consistent with cat. besides it rather is the 1st element i could attempt. If that may no longer assisting, you ought to attempt isolating them for awhile, if no longer for all time, that may't be achievable, close them in distinctive aspects of the domicile for the night. make useful first cat is in his very own "territory" or in demand place to dangle out/sleep and his container is in his known place and that the others do no longer pass there, and close them in yet another room with their very own container at night. using fact the interlopers, they could desire to take delivery of notwithstanding area you may supply them that would not intrude too plenty with the 1st cat's area. those obstacles can replace as they get used to a minimum of one yet another, however the 1st cat needs to experience respected, so do what you may to enable him be responsive to he won't be able to could desire to offer up the finished domicile to the hot ones.

did you give any thought about what your going to do with all the kittens? and if you keep them, you realize those will have kittens?

this is why there's a pet overpopulation problem. no one thinks these things through.

spaying/neutering is very expensive. if the cat is suffering while in heat, you need to have them fixed..you can't keep letting her have litter after litter. that's irresponsible!!!!!

if she's ok, and you can't afford to have her fixed, do not bring a male in or let her outside at all.

Just because you want to see your cat be a mother, doesn't mean it's what is best for her OR the kittens. It isn't. If you want kittens, adopt one. Don't contribute to the overpopulation problem because you selfishly want to see your 'cat going to be a mother.'

You need to spay or neuter it. We do not need any more cats running around the neighborhoods.

That is why I grab all the strays and make sure they wont bother anyone again.
