Overpopulation of cats and dogs has Milwaukee putting down an average of 3,500 perfectly adoptable pets a month. The humane society shelter here went to 'no kill' which means you can't bring an unwanted animal to them anymore, it has to go to animal control who puts down the injured or sick ones immediately, all the uncontrollable ones also, and any that are not socialized right (growl, bare teeth, cower, try to flee). The remainders are looked at by the people from the humane society and picked over for the best, most docile ones, and what remains gets euthenized within 5 days after that. Facts are facts.
Your breeding of a non-pedigree cat only adds to problems like this.

Most people here are going to tell you not to breed that cat because of the cat overpopulation and the million cats that get put to sleep each year in shelters.
I agree with every single one that tells you that.
Your local humane society and animal control will spay your cat very inexpensively - 30 dollars where I'm at - and some places will even do it for free. If you want kittens, adopt one.

So you want to breed your cat just because she is in heat? You do NOT need to be breeding.
You have no idea how to properly breed and how to take care of newborn kittens- it's a 24/7 job and can be expensive with all the vet check-ups and vaccinations.
You need to get your cat spayed.

Please don't have kitty bred just because she is in heat. That is irresponsible and only adds to the pet overpopulation problem.
Hundreds of cute, healthy, lovable and adoptable kittens/cats and puppies/dogs die every hour in shelters. Why? Because there is no homes for them. They suffer the death sentence yet they have not committed a crime.
Please call your vet or spay/neuter clinic the day after Christmas and get her spayed. In the meantime, keep her away from male kitties.
Here is a list of free or low cost spay/neuter clinics in the US. The list is arranged by state. I hope there is one close to you.
Purrs for you and kitty.
P.S.: If you are wondering why all the responses say to spay your kitty instead of breeding her.....watch the video at the second link. I'll warn you, it is sad. It addresses the pet overpopulation problem and the heartbreaking truth about the numbers of cats and dogs that are euthanized in shelters.

Don't breed her. think of all the kittens and cats in shelters who will have to be put to sleep because nobody would adopt them.
Your cat is horny because you need to get her spayed.

Is your cat a purebred? If not, don't breed her. There are plenty of cats & kittens in shelters. If you get bothered by her while she's in heat, get her spayed.

I hear it is possible for you to mitigate the cat-in-heat with a wet Q-tip. There's probably something about it on the 'net.
However, I also hear that you'll have problems looking your cat straight in the eyes for awhile for the shame you have shared, LOL.
