I have a young female calico cat that has been spayed. I also have a young male black cat that has been nudered. And the female cat (Callie) always acts as if she's in heat. My black cat (Friskie) allways licks her down and they mate a lot. Does this mean that the vet did something wrong with the spaying and nudering? Can this be fixed? Can my female cat get pregnant?

my cat will eat almost everything that she cant pshysically handle. she will eat ribbons and bows and even kotex wrappers and when i clean out her litter box i notice that the things she ate will not always be in there if you catch my drift. she will usually always try to throw the stuff up she eats and i try everything from hiding the things she eats to yelling at her when i catch her eating the things. i know it isnt healthy for her and i cant afford to take her to the vet and get x-rays to see if she has anything stuck inside her body. what should i do to make her stop eating everything?

She comes and goes as she pleases. Growls when she don't want to stroked but rubs herself on me when she does. Opens doors and goes where she it not alowed. Keeps asking for more food than the amount the packet says she should have. It is beyond a joke, she thinks she owns me instead of me owning her.

My cat is about 5 years old. (he's long and skinny) We have a full length mirror in our living room that goes down to the ground. Sometimes my cat will walk up to it and stare at it, and then he will turn around, lift up his rear end, raise one of his hind legs, and then he PEES a couple drops on the mirror. We have had him for FIVE YEARS and he has never done this before until recently. In the past month, he's done it about 3 or 4 times.

WHY DOES HE DO THIS? Any ideas? Please let me know what you think!

I found an abandoned kitten at around 2 days old. He just went in at 9 weeks of age for his first series of shots and vet reported he was doing great. Christmas Eve day he started breathing hard and heavy and had raspy sound when I put my ear to his body. He had no energy, did not eat but urinated. We were out of town, couldn't find an open vet. Next day he was eating, drinking water, defecating (solid, not runny). Breathing still seems heavy and not as much energy as before but doing much better. We have an appt. with vet tomorrow but before I go I need to know what to expect before I go in. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have an indoor cat that gets bored a lot. I can't let him out like my other cat because he is blind. Do you know of any toys that a blind indoor cat would enjoy?

I already have a scratching post and another toy where he can spin around a ball and scratch his claws in the middle. I also have various balls that he can roll around (he appears to have grown bored of these though).

Now she's dead. I regret the pain and loss of human life, but why capture a tiger and put her in a big cage in the first place? She was just acting like the wild cat she was, and I'm sorry for the waste of such a magnificent animal. If Tatiana had been left in the wild, the same scenario would not have occured. Poor kitty.

I have two male cats. The older one is a year and a half old, about 25 lbs and neutered. The younger one is 6 months old, about 5 1/2 lbs and unneutered. The smaller cat has been mounting the older cat. While this doesn't bother me, I'm wondering if this is bad for the older cat's health?

We just bought a new automatic litter box. its really alot better than the old one, but i am still fighting the odors. also, not to be gross, but it leaves behind some "treasures" when it sweeps the box. ours is one that sweeps through the gravel about 10 min after cat has been in it. deposits waste in a little tub at the end. everytime i go in the room with the box i shake some baking soda in it. i had heard about that wheat type litter but i dont think it'll work in this. we have two cats. PLEASE HELP!! i am so emberassed by our little friends sometimes............

My girl kitten (Cleo) is about 9 weeks+ old. We got her at about 5 1/2 weeks old and she gets along great with our male kitten (Stormy) who is about 12 weeks+.

Cleo was eating and drinking fine when we got her, she gets clean water and milk daily (which I change a few times) + dry and wet food which I make sure is always available. In the last week she has been trying to drink from Stormy - what would make her suddenly do this?

It confuses me because she was fine drinking milk from her bowl, but now shes trying to drink out of Stormy. Why isn't she stopping when she doesnt get milk? Shes constantly doing it even once I watch her drink milk from her bowl.

I have six cats and three litter boxes throughout my house. I am currently using Fresh Step but just recently it seems as if the litter sours quicker than it had before. It gets darker and begins to smell after 3 days instead of the usual 5 or 6. Any suggestions or does anyone know of a better brand of litter. Btw I use and like the clay type.

My scottish fold cat is 13 years old and has had diabetes for a few years. His health has made a steep decline in the past six months and this morning he woke up, ate, and then suddenly fell over. When he fell over, he lost control of his bladder then started having seizures. We sat with him for a bit and all of a sudden he popped up and was able to walk around and eat. Then we thought he was ok (he has been in a few scary situations already) and my mom found him laying with down and breathing rapidly looking really ill again. My family is torn on the decision to make... what should we do? What is wrong with him? (aside from his diabetes)

I'll feed him then when i leave he will follow me to the living room, then he will sleep, then wake up and cry and cry and cry so i follow him into the kitchen and he sits and waits for his bowl to be filled then when i point to it to show him its still pretty much full he realises and starts eating it again.

He also falls asleep at his water bowl.

He is at least 11 or 12.

Thanks

Ok, I had trouble falling asleep everytime i would close my eyes i would see a corpse or a black hooded figuere against a room wall so i was pretty freaked out before i even fell asleep, this is not normal for me. I fell asleep 40 minutes later i woke up screaming at the top of my lungs like ive never had in my life, i began to grab my wifes arm which was sleeping aswell and started to shout her name for her to wake up. at that moment she started to scream uncontrollably too, i thought she was just spooked by me but no. Her arm was covered in cat scratches and blood. (our cat was sleeping with us and is extremely affectionate esp to her) after she regrouped she said she saw a black apparition on the floor about half a metre where my cat was sitting on the floor and my cat was jumping frantically to get on the bed(using her claws to dig into my wifes arm) but my wife kept on batting her away since she was frightened. what happened here? i am extremely freaked!
