That's pretty compacted, she needs a vet. This sounds it's waited to long. Call you vet, I've seen this happen this one cat can in had this problem for months the owner thought it was okay cuz some stool was passing well, X-Rays showed just how bad it was, kitty had surgery. We removed over 2 lb's or fecal matter, it was a big hard dry ball, the kitty made a full recovery to all are surprise. I'm not sure how long your kitty been having this problem? But even make a call and give the vet all the info you can, food/water intake, urination, behavior things like this most if it's not serious with help over the phone, free:) They may recommend Vaseline, yes it works but ask first.

First, make sure it's not a urinary problem- often the cat strains to pee, and looks constipated. If she seems to be peeing okay, and not in little tiny amounts, then you can use
petromalt or laxatone every day for a week.
Your cat is not getting enough water. More canned food?

Go to the vet and get some Laxaire and feed canned food. If that doesn't work then she may need an enema and a trip to the vet.

either that or babylax is a liquid laxative that is inserted into the rectum that will produce a bowel movement within 30 minutes...you can find it over the counter at walmart pharmacy about $4

It's better to use butter (not margarine), olive or salmon oil. Cod liver oil has too much vitamin A for a cat if given regularly or in large doses.

A dab of Vaseline on nose will also wk.
